As a child I tried to imitate my older sister @elisabethswan as much as I could, I turned her tastes into my tastes, her preferences into mine. That's how we ended up loving the same music, the same literature. So similar in our character that we seem more like mother and daughter than sisters.

However, there was one thing I couldn't imitate her and that was the choice of the most valued fruit and favorite color. I explain to them. My sister loved guava, while I had affairs with all fruits, unable to decide on just one. Until, as I grew older, I opted for soursop.

¡Lindo día para todos en esta querida comunidad! No se que me sucede con los jueves, pero su nombre suena dulce y suave en mi boca. Y lo imagino de un color azul marino o violeta.

Cuando era pequeña jugaba a asociar los días, los caracteres de cada persona y las emociones con los colores. Ciertamente es una dinámica que disfrutaba mucho y que, en ocasiones, aún hoy, de manera inconsciente, sigo haciendo.

Por eso, al ser invitada por @marpasifico a participar en la iniciativa de @emiliorios, se lo agradecí muchísimo y me regocijé. Aunque las tres fotografías facilitadas en la iniciativa llaman la atención por su belleza, confieso que me enamoré al instante de la etiqueta amarilla.

De niña intentaba imitar cuanto podía a mi hermana mayor @elisabethswan, convertí sus gustos en mis gustos, sus preferencias en las mías. Fue así que terminamos amando la misma música, la misma literatura. Tan semejantes en nuestro carácter que parecemos más madre e hija que hermanas.

Sin embargo, en algo no pude imitarla y fue en la elección de la fruta más valorada y el color favorito. Les explico. Mi hermana amaba la guayaba, mientras que yo tenía affairs con todas las frutas, incapaz de decidirme por solo una. Hasta que, al ir creciendo, me decanté por la guanábana.

Por otra parte, ella se sentía hierba silvestre que pinta los prados de verdes. ¡Vibraba en verde esperanza! Mientras yo quería ser del color de los pollitos recién salidos del cascarón. Y aunque crecí y muchos de mis gustos y preferencias de niña cambiaron al hacerme adulta, el amarillo sigue siendo mi color preferido.

Cuando me visto con ropa amarilla, siento que mi rostro adquiere cierta luminosidad. Las ojeras se esconden un poco y a mis mejillas se les nota más el rubor natural. Incluso mi sonrisa es más clara, más suave, más sincera.

Cuando eligen a sus amistades priorizan instintivamente los lazos firmes y significativos, antes que la cantidad.

El color amarillo me inspira alegría, seguridad, la certeza de que por muy mal que pueda estar la situación, algo bueno sucederá al final del día. Por algún extraño motivo me hace sentir aniñada, ingenua, capaz de ver solo las cosas positivas y alentadoras.

Justo al final de todos mis posts, me despido siempre con un banner que anuncia mi “Vibrar en amarillo”, frase que también utilicé como título en un post hace unos meses. Incluso la temática colorimétrica del resto de mis banners se ajusta a ese color.

Me hace feliz haberle sido fiel en esto a la niña que soñaba con ser color pollito acabado de salir del cascarón.
