A few days ago I went far to visit a village and see the customs there, a few days before I received an invitation to a wedding party of my acquaintance who was far from where I live but still in the same region of Aceh, as we know Aceh has diverse customs and cultures but we are united in the unity of the Republic of Indonesia

The name of my destination village is Puloblang which is located in the hilly part of North Aceh, this area is surrounded by hill forests and along the road there are rice fields, to save time and speed up getting to my destination I chose a shortcut, namely the Matata Sijuek road, this is not the main road but this road is fast to get there

Every time I pass this road there is always a puddle of water and muddy I don't know where this water comes from because now in our area it is a long dry season where droughts occur everywhere but it's different here, actually I'm a bit afraid to walk on a suspension bridge like this, especially since the water in this river is high and there are a lot of them, plus this bridge has just been repaired after it tilted last year because the support rope broke making it I'm getting more nervous 😱 the length of this bridge is about 100 meters

After crossing the suspension bridge my mind was relieved and calm then I continued the journey which was still very far, driving very carefully and with high focus because this is not a toll road this is a village road far from the city, a potholed road from badly damaged asphalt, around 12 noon I just arrived at my destination

When I arrived at my destination I immediately went in and met the host then he invited me to rest and enjoy the food that had been provided, in terms of receiving guests and serving this food banquet it was not too far from the customs in my area, it was almost the same, only the completeness of the dishes was different

After a few minutes later the bride's group arrived in my area called darabaro they immediately got ready to enter the party residence

Their group was immediately greeted by the host and also the traditional leader and mothers from the village apparatus group, they were immediately invited to enter and go to the place that had been provided

While the mothers who were in charge of checking the darabaro's belongings immediately opened the decorated cakes and traditional cakes brought by the dara baro

There are slight differences in customs with those in my area, but they are not much different, it's just that in my area it is more complete in terms of food dishes, belongings from the darabaro and also from the way the darabaro group is received, forgive me this post focuses more on seeing the customs in this area, not beautiful places, historical places and also not museums.
