create traditional creativity(reungkan)
hello creative friends
Since last Saturday I have been thinking about what I will make for my creative post this week, the idea came when I was watching a show that showed how to make traditional tools that can be useful when in the village, in our area it is called reungkan this is a plate made of coconut leaves that can be used as a place to put fruit to keep it fresh and can also be used as a base for putting pans
Reungkan was very popular in my area before, but along with the development of technology and modernity, people no longer care about culture and traditional tools, the lack of enthusiasts so that areungkan has become foreign to the ears of today's children, they don't even know what reungkan is when I ask the current generation z children, besides making creativity I also want to preserve the culture of traditional tools so that they can be known globally, let's do the manufacturing process
Ingredients:
*coconut leaves
*knife
*rope
step 1
The coconut leaves that are needed still have the sheath and are about 70cm long. I roll them into a circle and tie them using a rope so that they form a circle
step 2
Now we enter the weaving stage. I start rolling one strand then inserting it into several other leaves to form a circular weave. I continue to do this until all the leaves are woven. Let's see the picture below
step 3
After the weaving is complete, now we enter the tidying stage by pulling all the loose leaves and adjusting them evenly so that the holes are not too big. Try to make them as tight and neat as possible
step 4
After everything is formed and neat, now we will assemble the bottom part, first we arrange it neatly with one knot all the ends of the leaves that we have woven earlier then we fish using a rope after that we just weave a little then insert the ends out or down as in the picture below
The rest of the ends of these leaves can be wrapped on the side and we can also cut them directly, now this reflection has been finished, this is my creativity for this week and I have managed to finish it
In my area almost every house had this reflection at that time, we often used it as a place to put vegetables and fruit and also pans
What do you think does this look unique, I hope you like it and this is a form of creativity of the ancients in our area, I just imitate and try to preserve what has been inherited for us
thank you for coming, hope you are entertained
