attending a wedding party in my village

The wedding season has started since after the harvest in the fields in March is now entering mid-April, wedding invitations are getting busier so we have to choose a time to be able to attend all the invitations, not only neighbors but also invitations from other villages, it has become common in our area to target holding a wedding party after the harvest season is over

Today the weather is cloudy and drizzling but I have to attend a wedding party held at the bride's house, I have to walk about two kilometers to get to the party location, when I arrived I immediately went in and I was immediately greeted by the host, he invited me to enjoy the party and enjoy the dishes that had been provided

I immediately went to the food table with the other invited guests and we immediately took enough food and enjoyed it on the guest chairs that had been provided, the culture of eating when there is a party has been passed down from generation to generation in my area, it doesn't feel right if a party is not served delicious food

After eating I relax while observing the atmosphere of this party and not long after the groom arrived with his entourage and his delivery items, oh this is a custom that is still strong in our culture, they were immediately welcomed by traditional leaders and also village leaders and other figures, the couple was seated for a while in front of the figures to be advised and given a little spiritual shower

After that they went to the altar and followed a series of traditional processes that apply in our area such as peusijuek, praying for the blessing of sitting side by side on the aisle and also taking photos together as the most beautiful moment that will never be forgotten because this only happens once in a lifetime.

We are very happy here watching this lively party, spending the holiday here without realizing it was already afternoon, I immediately said goodbye to go home, I am very happy and very satisfied today, usually on weekdays I only attend wedding invitations for a short time and then go straight home, but today I can linger here for a long time and watch all the traditional processions and also the proceedings of this party, sometimes happiness comes even just through action. simple yes i feel very happy today
