RE: White Lies: Harmless or Harmful.

Honesty is indeed the best policy but at times, with good intentions to spare someone's feelings, it's okay to lie. Small white lies of course. It's easy to take the moral high ground and say that lying is always bad but there are situations that are crucial to survival where lying is the only option. Only a person who is uncaring to anyone's feelings can provide the brutal truth when it's not really necessary.
