Under promise, over deliver
Robert went around putting firework stands on all these parking lots across the country because he made one phone call. To a regular guy that most people were afraid to talk to. And that guy's name was Sam Walton. You've heard of Wal-Mart?He called the owner of Walmart before most of the world knew who the owner of Walmart was. And so Robert made that call, and he got to put his firework stands, and then he developed the brand called Fireworks World because of what he made in one phone call.
And then he used the money he made from fireworks to open a tire store and one huge, well-run tire store that underpromised and overdelivered. Under promise, over deliver. So many people in the world will overpromise under underdeliver. You can differentiate yourself by doing the opposite. Under promise, over deliver.

That's what he did. The tire store got very, very. Rich, very successful, and he decided to use that money to start building lawn mowers. Now at the time I asked Robert who the crap built lawn mowers.
How boring is that what you want to spend your life building freaking lawn mowers? And then that brand became what you might now know as Bad Boy Mowers.
