On Friday I received a very sad news, the death of an uncle and this has had me as it is pause I would say reflecting on how short or long life can be many times and it seems incredible that time is not enough to do everything we want, that's why we should not leave anything for later.

El día viernes recibí una noticia muy triste, la muerte de un tío y esto me ha tenido como es pausa diría yo reflexionando sobre lo corta o larga que muchas veces puede ser la vida y parece increíble que el tiempo como que no nos alcanzara para hacer todo lo que queremos, por eso no debemos dejar nada para después.

Today my body was asking for a soup to comfort my soul, I went to the pantry and to the fridge to see what was available because due to this bad news I did not have time to go to the market over the weekend, but to be with the family giving them my support.
So with the few ingredients I got I set out to prepare this comforting Lentil Soup to lift my spirits and move forward giving all I can of me and taking into account that we are only moments and we must make the most of it.

El día de hoy mi cuerpo me pedía una sopa para reconfortar el alma, me fui a la despensa y a la nevera haber que había disponible ya que debido a esta mala noticia no tuve tiempo de hacer mercado el fin de semana, si no de estar con la familia brindándoles mi apoyo.
Así que con los pocos ingredientes que conseguí me dispuse a preparar esta reconfortante Sopa de Lentejas para levantarme el ánimo y seguir adelante dando todo lo que pueda de mi y teniendo en cuenta que solo somos instantes y lo debemos aprovechar al maximo.

In my family and in this part of the eastern part of the country we are used to eating this soup a little sweet, so we put a little sugar, you may wonder and how does a sweet soup taste, well I will tell you that its flavor is unique, very delicious and without comparison because when combining sugar with these exotic spices such as cumin and curry give it a unique flavor explosion.

• 1 cup of lentils.
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin.
• 1/2 teaspoon curry.
• 1/2 teaspoon oregano.
• 1/2 teaspoon salt.
• 3 tbsp sugar.
• 3 tablespoons of oil.
• 2 chili peppers.
• 1 small red pepper.
• Celery stalks.
• Stems of coriander.
• 1/2 Zucchini.
• 1 carrot.
• 3 sweet potatoes.

So without wasting time while the beans are loosening I chop the peppers, paprika, celery stalks and cilantro, and set aside.

Así que sin perder el tiempo mientras los granos se están aflojando yo pico los ajíes, pimentón, tallos de celery y cilantro, reservo.

• Then I take a pot to the stove with the oil once hot I add the seasonings and let it fry.
