Those pages

Seeing this prompt is bringing certain memories of my friends and me. So, let me take you on a little journey down memory lane.

Fast forward or back to when my friends and I were still in the university and were about to write our final examination that would enable us to become graduates. At those moments of our lives, we feel like we're reading so hard, as if our lives depend on it. "Of course, our lives depend on it." Whenever we gather like the brethren, the first thing we would do is bring out our books and start reading. After a while of reading, we would try to ask ourselves some questions for a revision.

Then, when the time of the exams came, we were a little tense, but we didn't let that get to us; rather, we faced it with our heads on. And when we came out of that exam hall, my friend said, and I quote, "Thank God the exam season is over, and after today I'm not reading anything that is called books till further notice, even billboards I'm not reading." That statement above made us laugh so hard that our lungs started shaking. End of story, "thank you for following through," now back to the topic of discussion.

Talking about physical books, I can't remember the last time I set my eyes on one "Ooh joking" Now I just remembered that I've been setting my eyes on books but then I haven't really had the time to sit down and open that book to flip those pages and put more attention to it.

Sometimes the question I ask myself is, "Who needs physical books?" Very weird question right? I know. Well, I didn't mean it that way but then when I look at my phone with the internet that is being attached to it, and with the fact that I can get whatever I want on the internet "now you get" books are also on the internet and can be found in any application on the internet.

I haven't been reading physical books, but then I can still proudly say that I've been reading soft books, "if there is any word like that." Yeah, I've been busy reading soft books, which have been keeping me pretty occupied lately, and then these books are related to my field of study. I'm at the peak of growing in my career, I want to grow my career to the next level, where I would look back at myself and be like "this decision you made was the best of them all," and I'm proud you embarked on this journey of yours.

I'm not saying physical books aren't important, like the ones found online, but then I think it's slightly difficult for people to read a physical book when we can easily do it with our smartphone, and not forgetting the distraction that comes with reading a book online.

I'm gonna conclude by saying, reading is very important and it equips our minds, whether online or physical, everyone should do what works best for them.

Thanks for reading 🧡

I guess it all depends on a person's interest, I prefer physical books more than digital books because I'm trying to reduce the amount of time I spend screen due to the effects on my eyes.

Sometimes the question I ask myself is, "Who needs physical books?"

I do plsss, lol. I'm in love with the smell of books and having to flip through the pages, eagerly looking forward to the revelations that comes with the next pages.

Just that I haven't been able to read physical books like I used to so as it is, I read ebooks. But the moment I get a physical book which falls within my genre, it's a good bye to the E-world.
