Off the wild.
Seeing this topic right now is making me think on the reason why I don't like animals, growing up I've never being a fan of animals, I thought when I grow older I'm gonna develop that love for them but then growing older that feeling of animal whether wild or non-wild I still don't fancy them.
Now I'm not gonna lie, "animals are amazing creatures" some have come into human life to make it a lot easier. Many people find comfort in these animals that they keep as pets. Has anyone ever considered taking a wild animal as a pet? Well, no one has before I forget. Whenever I'm feeling a little bit of sadness, my go-to place that would drain that sadness is Facebook, let's say that is my therapy and my secret. I feel like when I have data and enough percentage of battery in my smartphone, I won't be sad.
Because scrolling down those reels, seeing different videos that have been uploaded by people, some funny ones would definitely catch my attention and I would find myself laughing hard and sometimes extending that laughter to those around to laugh along. In the process of doing what I love the most just to fight boredom. I came across a video where a man keeps a snake in his house as a pet. The snake was playing with its owner, now if this snake were small, it would have been a different case, but then this snake is danm big and looks so scary.
After watching the video, I ran to the comment session because what is the essence of watching reels on Facebook without visiting the comment session, "no gain at all", then I started seeing comments from people. The particular one that caught my attention was when one said, and I quote, "this snake will eat its owner as breakfast one day," seeing that I laughed very hard that I could sense my heart beating faster than usual.
Back to the subject matter: one thing on my bucket list is to explore the zoo, but then I haven't really gathered the courage that would enable me to walk freely in the zoo without the feeling of being scared stepping in. The person who brought the idea of capturing animals and recreating wildlife for these wild animals is incredible. I know the whole idea was to make people explore different things in the environment. They know some people won't risk travelling to the wild in search of wild animals rather than the brain behind the creation of zoos brought that to our doorstep or to our state.
Everything that walks on the face of the earth possesses a certain level of emotion, but what makes there's different is the fact that they can't express their emotions through spoken words. Taking an animal out of the wild they are used to its like taking a human out of the environment they grew up in. It feels like intervening in their affairs.
I know it's kind of bad taking animals off the life they've lived, but then they should be taken care of, they shouldn't lack anything. For the sake of health and safety, I think animals within human control should be treated humanely. I know the zoo feels like a prison to animals, and they would prefer being free, that's if they could speak their minds.
I know being in the wild can be a little dangerous for them because they would be hunted by other stronger animals.
In conclusion, animals that are being taken from the wild should be taken care of, and everything needed for their safety should be provided.
Thanks for reading 🧡
I don't even fancy people who keep wild animals as pets because someday, they might grow hungry and would be vulnerable to those around them. Animals like that should be kept in the wild so as to exhibit some skills they ought to.
Abi. Why are people even using wild animals as pets these days? What do they derive from such
Your words really show freedom, nature’s peace, and simple living.
Thank you so much
I love being around animals but I don't keep any as pet. The idea of zoo is cool but like you said the animals should be properly taken care of
You don't keep as pet, nice. I like that
I actually love having animals around basically the domestic ones and i would definitely love to have a dog and a rabbit when i am actually staying alone. Also, i like going to the zoo and in my last visit there i had the chance to see an hyena in real life which was really amazing. But then, one thing i noticed, was the fact that some of those animals weren't in the best conditions and it actually made me sad. That's the same for many other zoos where these animals are just kept for the money and their welfare is been overlooked.
That best condition is what I love to hear but then I'm not hearing it from. When animals are taken from the wild, they should be cared for.
Thank you for the support
