My nation's cost of living.

Cost of living in my country ha!!! I wouldn't want to loud it, Growing up I heard people say my nation is the best place to live in the whole wide world, this statement always takes me to cloud nine imagine living in the best nation "I'm on top of the world" but then things happening contradict this almighty statement, now here comes the big question I ask myself every day, if its the best place why are its citizens relocating to other countries in search of greener pastures, in case you're trying to guess the nation I'm from its "Nigeria" yah!!!

With the current events occurring in my nation, I think the cost of living is on the high side, imagine having a job that was sustaining you before now but since inflation steps in, the removal of fuel subsidy and the increment of transportation it feels like you are working in a different place entirely cause your pay can't sustain you in the present economy of the nation.

Comparing the cost of living in my nation to other countries can be quite hard cause I'm not based there, I can only speak for what I'm encountering but then I can share my thoughts on it though, I feel like the current Inflation rate isn't just in my nation alone it's affecting other countries as well but my nation is the "baba of them all".

This is the part I love the most, so there was a day I was taking a walk around my street when I saw a beautiful flower verse now I've experienced love at first sight before but this particular one was love on foresight I think cause I loved it the moment I saw it, so I went inside met with the salesperson and asked the price gladly its something I can afford so I told the person I'd be coming the next day to get it, behold I didn't fail my promise I got back there the next day asked the salesperson to package it for me so I can leave, the salesperson was being reluctant then I asked why his being so reluctant on packing it for me then he said the price has increased and I was like just in few hours, I asked the amount that was topped up he said five thousand naira I stood inside the shop contemplating to take it or not then the salesperson said: "madam if you don't take now the price is likely to increase again".

Did I buy it? Well, I did cause I wouldn't want to hear a change of price when I go back the following day. The prices of goods in my nation keep increasing every day before you close your eyes and open them the price has changed it is annoying, and it is something I do not find funny at all, this price increment is most times caused by the retailers and wholesalers, I think if my nation had a price regulation body on goods and services all this sudden change in prices of goods wouldn't be happening.

Talking about my earnings, it will fetch me less in my favorite nation, cause when you compare the naira to the dollar you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. If I had the chance would I relocate? Well, there will always be relocation, I don't think I will be standing in a spot and someone asks me this question twice cause once you ask me the first time I'm already packing my bags and moving straight to the airport there is no time to waste.
