Most memorable childhood
Childhood memories are fun-packed, these memories are very important in our lives, they make us remember the best times of our lives because we are always surrounded by people we love and people who love us, they are memories when we think of them we'd smile and be like really did I do that or believe that!! Memories signify growth, looking back at some activities that happened that we would have done better, or maybe wouldn't have allowed to happen.
As children, we believe everything the adults say, either to lure us into certain activities or distract us from engaging in other things, Sometimes if your older siblings are eating something and you're very much interested in having a taste of that thing, instead they'll tell you they are not giving you rather they would tell you a scary story relating to what they are eating.

growing up I had a loving family, I had five siblings with whom I spent most of my time with and I'm the fourth born, there was a day I got back from school and saw my elder brother eating a fruit I'd never seen before then, I was very much interested in having a taste of it cause the looks of the fruit were calling my name, it was very attractive and pleasing in the eyes, then I changed my uniform to normal clothes walked to him and was like" senior good afternoon what are you eating?" His reply " Afternoon do you want to know what I am eating?" In my mind, I was like I don't care to know it's the looks I'm after not the knowledge of the fruit, but for formalities, I replied "Yes" so the story started, "Children your age don't eat this fruit if you eat this particular fruit your stomach will grow big like a pregnant woman's belly then he asked if I would want that" poor me I didn't reply him, he moved closer to me and stretched out his hand with the fruit in it, I looked at the fruit and looked at my stomach, I gave myself the best advice not to accept the fruit from him.
I have a lot of scenarios relating to this, the second one is the water that comes out from the coconut when you break it, adults are so funny, I can remember whenever they break a coconut in the house everybody would be after the water that comes out from it, then I've always wanted to try it, when its time to pour some coconut water into my cup you'll hear stories, " if you drink coconut water you won't be brilliant in school, you'd be dull tell me who wants to be dull in school" I'll move slowly to drop my cup.
All these stories are just so they won't give you that's not my problem, my problem is the false stories they will tell you, the scary line ain't necessary.
Anytime I'm taking coconut water these memories would pop up in my head and I would smile, see what my brother said will make me dull in school. One thing I regret not learning as a child was to ride a bike, I loved looking at the other kids ride a bike when it got to my turn I'd be so scared, that made me not learn it, up till now I don't know how to ride a bicycle.
thanks for reading🌹
I can relate to this and it's really funny how our elders back then cooked these lies just to discourage us from doing some things.
I grew up in a very crowded and busy environment, and it was impossible for kids of my age not to hear these things back then. I laughed a lot when I discovered the truth about these things and felt like punching some of those elders in the face.
Haha, these elders really tricked us, most times I just think back and all I can do is laugh
The coconut water...
It was when I became an adult that I got to know it's all scam. The way out parents and elders in naija teamed up to adopt this lie is out of this world
Haha 😁😁😁😁like the scam was too severe
No be small. Too much 😅😅
