Finding happiness in the little things!!!
"Happiness" is something people seek to find every day, but yet its definition varies from others because what makes me happy can't make you happy. I believe that as our faces are different and so is our definition of happiness.
In the world today we are caught up with the pursuit of happiness, as individuals we see happiness as a destination to be reached and attained, I know a lot of people believe if they work very hard and stay focused on achieving their goals they will end up being happy, but the question is what comes next after attaining everything you've always had in mind and that feeling of fulfillment steps in and you end up being happy, does it mean your happiness ends there, you won't go further being happy.

Setting goals and trying hard to achieve those goals isn't a bad thing to do but we should never forget the process or the journey we went into to achieve those goals, whatever we have now and will have later we should learn to appreciate it and be happy.
I've heard so many young people making a certain statement " I just want to get married and be happy" so what they are insinuating is they aren't happy being single and what makes them think they'll be happy after getting married, if marriage is the destination of happiness then what comes next after the marriage "sadness" you'll keep your happiness on hold till you attain that thing.
I was having a conversation with a stranger in a public vehicle well don't think too much she engaged me first into the conversation and I didn't want to be a snub since it's my gender, glad I didn't forget my bus stop cause I almost did hehe. So she said she wants to get a good job and be happy, getting a good job is nice and it can be a fulfillment of her dream but then what if she gets a good job with a terrible working condition or the environment or what if there's no job security there. I feel people shouldn't tie their happiness to physical possessions, the truth is happiness can't be bought or earned its the mindset.

We should be grateful for the little things we have so when the bigger ones come we can be able to handle them and find fulfillment. Let's not forget that everything comes in stages, the big fishes in the ocean were once little and the only thing that was consistent in their life was "growth" and this applies to humans as well. So when we focus entirely on accomplishing our external objectives most times even after reaching those goals we still find ourselves feeling empty and unfulfilled It is because we've failed to develop happiness from within ourselves.
So my definition of happiness has to do with the feeling of contentment and finding fulfillment in all I do, and the satisfaction with my life or current situation, I find happiness in the little things I have, I do not see happiness as a journey or a destination, cause it's the combination of how satisfied I am with my life, it's about the present moments of my life by creating meaningful relationships and continually growing as a person. It's not about waiting for the moment when something big will happen in my life but it's about finding joy in each day as I live.
The most important thing is for us to understand what happiness truly means to us and not to compare our definition of happiness with others, find what makes you happy as an individual and always focus on it, make it a priority to always be happy and don't feel bad if your definition of happiness doesn't align with other peoples definition, it's our different perspective of seeing things that makes us human.
Thanks for reading🌹
I just realized how true this is
Sometimes the things we do for happiness doesn’t align with others so we tend to try and to try to adapt to their ways
It is important to focus on what makes you have and be a little selfish when it comes to your happiness
Very importantly, our happiness is our priority.
We have many ways to express happiness and one it just what you share. Seeing it what you have and this actually a beautiful thing
Yeah thank you so much!!
