Apples don't fall far from the tree!!!

Traits are sometimes passed on from generation to generation that's why, you see some kids acting like their grandparents or parents, traits are sometimes inherited while some are learned or influenced by our environment, people often think about the physical traits we inherit from our parents but the truth is more than that, when it comes to the physical traits you would say I am my mother's daughter cause I look exactly like my mother.

I've always caught myself doing certain things and reckoned wow " I'm acting like my mom" Most of the traits I got from my mum, I never had a father figure in my life cause my dad died when I was barely three years old, so I grew up with my mother, as kids we often reflect on the characters of our parents both the bad and good ones, so I'm gonna talk about those traits I inherited from my mum.

My mum is very simple, her transparency is top-notch, always minds her business and ensures peace in every activity she engages in, I've never seen my mum exchanging abusive words with others or Maybe she was doing outside and wasn't bringing it close to the house hehe don't know, and she has a positive mindset that makes me have personal conversations with her, I noticed she has never compared herself to anyone before, she is quiet and calm, she is just herself, she shows she can't be anyone else but herself, and she can't even wish to be anyone despite not having too much, she was always content with what she had, she never claimed to be better than anyone.

As I grow older I see myself portraying this trait of hers without realizing it was hers at first, I've learned being myself is everything, I can have friends and meet amazing people along the line but then the only things I can wish for is to learn from them, what I can't do is try to be like them or live like them. Anywhere I find myself whether good or bad I don't fake what I'm not, I want to always be original. I am very quiet and don't talk much, I'm content with what I have, and whatever I don't have I work toward achieving.

Here is what happened some weeks ago, I didn't believe I possessed my dad's trait till a day my father's stepbrother saw me and we engaged in a conversation, we were just talking about myself, and in the process of the conversation he mentioned something that I'd never forget, he said "I'm hard-working like my father" I paused for a while and was trying to process the statement, I was excited cause even without knowing my dad I get to portray something of him, that made me realize aside being his offspring I have a part of him in me.

Am I hard-working? I guess cause I'm always focused and determined to achieve my goals in life, my level of hard work is purpose-driven. I would love to pass these traits on to my kids because it will help build and mold them in their everyday lives even as they grow older.

Thanks for reading🌹

Of course you will act more like your mom.

Yeah, you are his child so you have a part of him in you. There might be more than just that one maybe until you meet someone that knows your dad so well and they tell you that you do somethibg like your dad.

Besides, I like the title of your post.
