Mountains For Life

Wonderful Hivelanders!

How's your week? I hope it's gone very well for you. Here, we are rapidly coming into our very dark season. No doubt, the cold will not be long to follow. I'm just really grateful it hasn't been cold yet! If i had it my way, cold would stay on the Mountains for skierssnow boarders and snow mobiles, but the highways could stay clear and dry!! Isn't that wishful thinking!

A girl can dream!

Today, I am sharing images of a cloudy day for a change. And, of course these amazing Crowsnest Rockies. Have you ever seen the remnants of a partially crumbled Mountain? There's one in our area. I'll share a glimpse of that for you too!

I always appreciate comments and folks to take a moment to check in on my blog! Until next time...

🖤 Jill

Thats a really great question. There has been seismic activity that I know of in the mountains a few hours north of where this is, near Banff where I used to live. But, I did a little research and it seems this mountain had this immense slide because of the mountains structure, mining, and warm spring days which melted snow and very cold nights causing water to freeze in the many fizzures. Another slide is very likely to happen! Yikes!! There are 80 monitoring devices on the Mountain to detect changes in the mountain stability! Natives would never set up camp in the area. They called the mountain "mountain that moves" Actually, natives used the area for sacred reasons it seemed, but never lived here. The weather/ wind is quite unbearable. Yeeesh, I need to wonder why on earth am i living here..... especially looking at this map i found on a website. The south peak is most likely to slide, possibly the north. I am in Bellevue!

Oh! No! I think I would be wise to look for a safer place. I had learned that the north of Canada would be broken up into pieces like islands in big lakes. It’s geological dimension of nature which we couldn’t change.

The mini Ice Age has arrived. So, more freezing cold with long duration soon. Thety said there would be famine as food became scarce. Too cold to do agriculture.

Most rich people on the know have already move to the southern hemisphere.
