¿Vale la pena invertir en SBI? || Is it worth investing in SBI?
HSBI, o simplemente SBI, es uno de los proyectos más particulares en Hive. A veces vemos unos votos de @steembasicincome en nuestros posts, o de algunas de las cuentas alternas, como @sbi2, @sbi10 o cualquier otro número, y no sabemos qué es.
Para responder rápido a la pregunta de si vale la pena invertir en este proyecto, te digo que si piensas quedarte a largo plazo en Hive, la respuesta definitiva es sí. Si solo estás acá por un rato y para ver qué puedes sacar, la respuesta es no.
Pero veamos bien de qué se trata. Porque la lógica con se ha dado a conocer es: patrocina a un usuario y tú también saldrás ganando.
HSBI, or simply SBI, is one of the most unique projects on Hive. Sometimes we see votes from @steembasicincome on our posts, or from some of the alternate accounts, such as @sbi2, @sbi10, or any other number, and we don't know what it is.
To quickly answer the question of whether it's worth investing in this project, I'll tell you that if you plan to stay on Hive for the long term, the definitive answer is yes. If you're only here for a while to see what you can get out of it, the answer is no.
But let's take a closer look at what it's all about. Because the logic behind it is: sponsor a user and you'll also come out ahead.
SBI, explicado como Stake Based Income, que en español podría traducirse como Ingresos basados en participaciones, propone una manera de crear ingresos pasivos. Hay quienes los comparan con bonos y, como tales, te generan una ganancia.
El concepto es que tu patrocinas a un usuario (que no a ti mismo) y, por cada hive invertido, tu patrocinado recibe un SBI y tú también. Estos van generando un interés que al llegar a determinado nivel te lo hacen llegar en forma de voto.
Bien, veamos el procedimiento para "adquirir" estos bonos y vamos a colocar ejemplos que permiten entenderlo de manera sencilla.
El primer paso es enviar hives (la moneda) a la cuenta de @steembasicincome y vas a colocar el nombre de la persona que vas a patrocinar como memo del envío de dinero. Esto lo puedes hacer desde cualquiera de los monederos, sea el de Ecency, Inleo, Hive.blog o Peakd. Aunque este último te ofrece un formulario específico para tal fin.
SBI, explained as Stake Based Income, proposes a way to create passive income. Some people compare them to bonds and, as such, they generate a profit for you.
The concept is that you sponsor a user (not yourself) and, for each hive invested, your sponsored user receives an SBI and so do you. These generate interest which, when it reaches a certain level, is sent to you in the form of a vote.
Okay, let's look at the procedure for “acquiring” these bonds and give some examples to help you understand it easily.
The first step is to send hives (the currency) to the @steembasicincome account and include the name of the person you are sponsoring as a memo with the money transfer. You can do this from any of the wallets, whether it be Ecency, Inleo, Hive.blog, or Peakd. Although the latter offers a specific form for this purpose.
Pero tal como lo indiqué más arriba, se puede hacer el envío de dinero desde cualquier monedero. Es importante señalar que solo pueden ser hives (no HBD) y que los números deben ser enteros, sin fracciones.
La opción de enviar el dinero usando Hive @keychain, también es válida.
Más abajo muestro como sería patrocinar a la cuenta @es-literatos con 1 hive.
¡Es fundamenta que no olvides colocar el nombre del patrocinado en el memo!
But as I mentioned above, you can send money from any wallet. It is important to note that it can only be hives (not HBD) and that the numbers must be whole numbers, without fractions.
The option to send money using Hive @keychain is also valid.
Below I show how it would be to sponsor the @es-literatos account with 1 hive.
It is essential that you do not forget to include the name of the sponsored person in the memo!
Tú puedes patrocinar a cuantas personas quieras y por cada patrocinio recibirán tu patrocinado y tú la cantidad de SBI que correspondan por hives enviados.
Una vez que tienes al menor 1 SBI, puedes delegar dinero a @steembasicincome y esto se convierte en lo que ellos llaman Bonus Units, que contribuyen a aumentar el interés generado.
Para chequear la cantidad de unidades que tienes y cuándo y cuánto vas a recibir en tu próximo vot, puedes ver en la página de ellos, en la sección de usuarios. https://www.hivesbi.com/userinfo/?user=ylich
¡Solo tienes que cambiar el nombre de usuario y verás los tuyos!
Dos datos importantes:
- Tus SBI no vencen y si pasas tiempo sin publicar se siguen almacenando los intereses, hasta el día en que vuelvas a publicar. ¡Si tienes muchas unidades, podrás llevarte una grata sorpresa!
- Los SBI no son transferibles y siempre estarán en tu cuenta.
Mi conclusión
A largo plazo, es algo altamente positivo y se reflejará bien en los votos que recibes. ¡Así que si tú eres como yo, que estamos aquí para quedarnos, empieza hoy mismo!

Aunque lo había leído, al hacer el post hoy se me olvidó una actualización importante que hicieron, gracias a la insistencia de @ecoinstant, y es que ahora es posible transferir el balance pendiente a otro usuario. La manera de hacerlo es, precisamente, usando las fracciones. Es decir si quieres enviar otra persona, le envías un monto en céntimos, que se multiplicará por 1000.
Supongamos que yo quiero enviar $10 de mi balance pendiente a la cuenta de @es-literatos, debo colocar los siguientes datos en mi transacción de envío de dinero en cualquier monedero:
Cantidad: 0.010 HIVE
De: ylich
Memo: es-literatos
Para: steembasicincome
Es decir, el mismo formato que en el envío regular, pero en céntimos.
Así mismo es posible transferir HSBI a otro usuario, usando la misma sintáxis, pero usando céntimos de HBD.
Ejemplo: Si quiero transferir 5 HSBI a @es-literatos, la transacción se vería así:
Cantidad: 0.005 HBD
De: ylich
Memo: es-literatos
Para: steembasicincome
Al igual que en el caso anterior, el monto se multiplica por mil.

You can sponsor as many people as you want, and for each sponsorship, your sponsored person and you will receive the corresponding amount of SBI for hives sent.
Once you have at least 1 SBI, you can delegate to @steembasicincome, and this becomes what they call Bonus Units, which contribute to increasing the interest generated.

Just change the username and you will see yours!
Two important facts:
- Your SBIs do not expire, and if you go a long time without posting, the interest continues to accrue until the day you post again. If you have a lot of units, you may be pleasantly surprised!
- SBIs are not transferable and will always remain in your account.
My conclusion
In the long run, it's a highly positive thing and will be reflected in the votes you receive. So if you're like me, here to stay, start today!
The first user who doesn't have SBI and leaves me a comment will be sponsored by me for their first SBI!

Although I had read it, when writing today's post I forgot an important update they made, thanks to @ecoinstant's insistence, which is that it is now possible to transfer the pending balance to another user. The way to do this is precisely by using fractions. That is, if you want to send money to another person, you send them an amount in cents, which will be multiplied by 1000.
Let's say I want to send $10 from my outstanding balance to the @es-literatos account. I must enter the following information in my money transfer transaction in any wallet:
Amount: 0.010 HIVE
From: ylich
Memo: es-literatos
To: steembasicincome
In other words, the same format as for regular transfers, but in cents.
It is also possible to transfer HSBI to another user using the same syntax, but using HBD cents.

I think its not vote buying, as the program powers up the HP, and its 50/50 just like voting with my own HP.

Honestly i dont mind much about hsbi i even have units, but i think hsbi is kinda in the grey zone. I didnt know hsbi was helping with hive watcher and had its curation feed which might lighten up a bit the grayness of the zone.
Still, you buy X units and with daily additon of vote value you get some sort of leverage d vote. Idk to be thinken about...
Issue is Hsbi is used to spam post daily and get massive rewards for it (like shit giveaways)
