We are no longer in the first month of the year; in other words, 2026 has found its stride, and many of us have done the same. Activities are in full swing, though I must confess that today is not my day.

These past few days have been characterized by intense work and many tasks to complete. As if that weren't enough, yesterday we held a big celebration for my eldest son's birthday. I made a special cake for the occasion—a request of his—which you can see in this post. But since my wife was preparing a pork leg and we needed bread—and we’ve proven a thousand times that nothing beats homemade—I baked 20 "panes canilla."

Fortunately, everything went well and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Besides my cake, there were four others brought by other guests.

Between the work that involved (on top of my usual routine), plus the additional ingredient of a few vodkas that served as my reward, today I am "out of commission."
