Fue un paso que di con total escepticismo, alimentado solo por la curiosidad, pues hasta ese momento no había tenido contacto con la Web 3.0 ni con las criptomonedas.
Como dice la expresión popular, es mucha el agua que ha corrido bajo el puente desde entonces.
El mayor fruto que he cosechado es haber aprendido a cultivar la constancia. Ha sido mucho tiempo creando contenido y apoyando a otros como orientador, curador, líder de proyectos y programador. He pasado por momentos muy motivadores y otros desalentadores; he vivido el premio y también el veto, pero he subsistido con la fe puesta en este proyecto.
I scheduled this post to go live at exactly 14:08 (UTC) because it marks exactly 70,128 hours since I created my @ylich account—eight years ago to the day.
It was a step I took with total skepticism, driven only by a bit of curiosity, as I had no prior contact with Web 3.0 or cryptocurrencies at the time.
As the saying goes, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then.
The greatest fruit of my labor during this time has been learning to cultivate consistency. It has been a long journey of creating content and supporting others as a mentor, curator, project leader, and programmer. There have been deeply motivating moments and deeply discouraging ones. I have experienced both the rewards and the setbacks, but I have persevered with unwavering faith in this project.
Mi primer post, lo publiqué un día después, con cero recompensas, y al día siguiente publiqué mi IntroduceYourSelf. Ese recaudó 0,62 y lo llamativo es que, de los 24 votos recibidos, solo dos o tres cuentas siguen activas.
¿Qué quiere decir eso? Que no es sencillo mantenerse constante en esta plataforma; hace falta un compromiso real. Así como sucede con las personas, lo hemos visto con proyectos enormes que funcionan un tiempo y luego desaparecen.
Hive —lo he dicho en otras ocasiones, aunque creo que la expresión la tomé de alguien más— no es una carrera de velocidad, es un maratón, y la forma de ganar es a largo plazo.
Una de las mayores recompensas que tengo en Hive es ser reconocido como uno de los que han resistido y se mantienen activos y a la vanguardia. Si bien esto es algo destacable en la plataforma a nivel global, lo es aún más dentro de la comunidad hispanohablante y, especialmente, en la venezolana.
I posted my first post a day after, which earned zero rewards, and the following day, I published my IntroduceYourSelf. That one raised 0.62, and what’s striking is that out of the 24 votes it received, only two or three accounts are still active today.
What does that mean? It means that staying consistent on this platform is no easy feat. It requires real commitment. Just as it happens with individuals, we’ve seen massive projects that thrive for a while and then vanish.
Hive—I’ve said it before, though I think I borrowed the expression from someone else—is not a sprint; it’s a marathon, and the way to win is through the long game.
One of the greatest rewards I have in Hive is being recognized as one of those who have endured, staying active and at the forefront. While that is "noteworthy" within Hive at large, it is even more so within the Spanish-speaking community and, especially, among the Venezuelan community.
Aprovecho esta ocasión para compartir mi Hive Recap, desarrollado por @hivecreators al cierre de 2025, el cual ofrece una visión resumida de mi labor durante el año pasado.
Es muy satisfactorio ver los resultados obtenidos a nivel individual como usuario; sin embargo, me llena de más orgullo el trabajo que he venido realizando, siempre acompañado de personas extraordinarias, en el proyecto @la-colmena.
Para nosotros, esta labor es fundamental porque el nombre de "La Colmena" nació incluso antes de que existiera Hive. Por eso es tan importante para nosotros el sentido de comunidad; es una visión que nos ha definido desde el origen. Es un trabajo alineado totalmente con el concepto que hoy nos da nombre como plataforma: una labor comunitaria en favor de la colectividad y no del individuo.
Mirar hacia atrás y ver cuántos han quedado en el camino me hace valorar aún más a quienes siguen aquí, hombro con hombro. Tú, que me lees: ¿cuánto tiempo llevas en este maratón? ¿Qué es lo que te ha mantenido activo a pesar de los altibajos? Me encantaría leer tu historia en los comentarios.
I’d like to take this opportunity to share my Hive Recap, developed by @hivecreators at the end of 2025, which provides a brief overview of my contributions over the past year.
While it is very satisfying to see my individual results as a user, I am even prouder of the work I’ve been doing alongside extraordinary people at @la-colmena.
This mission is deeply meaningful to us because the name "La Colmena" (The Beehive) was born even before Hive itself existed. This is why community work is so vital to us; it is a vision that has defined us from the very beginning. It is an effort perfectly aligned with the concept that now gives our platform its name: a community-driven labor for the benefit of the collective, rather than the individual.
Looking back and seeing how many have fallen by the wayside makes me value those who are still here, shoulder to shoulder, even more. To you, the reader: how long have you been in this marathon? What has kept you active despite the highs and lows? I would love to read your story in the comments.
