Mi niña - Soneto || My child - Sonnet
Mi niña
Eres flor no nacida en mi jardín
y aun así, has perfumado mi vida.
Impregnaste mis días con tu sonrisa
y los depuras, como un serafín.
La niña de mis ojos, mi alevín,
mi flor en botón, un pichón que anida
en la profunda memoria tejida
de este sentimiento de amor sin fin.
¡Ve cuántos cambios vienen con la edad,
que son justicia, que son equidad,
pero incomprensibles a la razón!
De bebé cobriza, con olor mamey
a una mujer íntegra, en toda ley.
¡Por siempre “mi niña”, en mi corazón!
My child
You are a flower not born in my garden
and yet you have perfumed my life.
You impregnated my days with your smile
and you purify them, like a seraph.
The apple of my eye, my fry,
my budding flower, a chick that nests
in the deep woven memory
of this endless feeling of love.
See how many changes come with age,
which are justice, which are equity,
but incomprehensible to reason!
From a coppery baby, with mamey scent
to a woman of integrity, in every law.
Forever "my child", in my heart!
| ¡El tiempo transcurre y los niños (la niña, en este caso) crecen! No hay vuelta atrás y no debe haberla, pero tampoco la hay en los sentimientos que se plasman y se hacen recuerdo, vivencia. ¡De eso va este soneto, el decimonoveno de esta serie amorosa! ¡Espero que les resulte de grata lectura a todos! | Time goes by and the children (the girl, in this case) grow up! There is no turning back and there should be no turning back, but neither is there in the feelings that are captured and become memory, experience. That's what this sonnet is about, the nineteenth of this loving series! I hope you all find it a pleasant reading! |
