The year 2026 has finally arrived, bringing with it high expectations and the hope for a year of peace, achievement, and good health.

Inspired by that feeling, I decided to start this year on Hive with an encouraging poem, while also including my usual report on the PowerUps I made during the month of December.

Let’s dive right in!

New Year’s Greeting: From 2025 to 2026

The year 2025 is gone,
and the new year has begun.
December was full of fun,
with parties of fright and leap.
Now we go with earnest sweep,
joyful, happy, full of cheer,
with the strength of giants near,
to paint with watercolor bright
a lovely Venezuela’s light,
in colors shining, pure, and clear.

Do not leave for tomorrow
what today you can achieve.
At the tortoise’s slow weave
any mountain you can follow,
but you must begin with skill,
and work hard with steadfast will.
Without losing sight of dreams,
you’ll arrive by any means.
Never should you disregard:
your life is yours to guard!

Fight with faith and optimism,
each new day’s a battle won,
thus you forge the shape to come
of the person you will be.
You’ll be the voice of poetry
if you act with honesty,
casting evil far away,
banishing all ill dismay.
In the days that lie ahead,
great joy and bliss will spread.
