It is really sad to realize that the local bank managers no longer have influence over the handling of one's account.
Things get worse when one realizes that the friendly voice at the call center has little influence on the account either.
Things become even more frightening when one realizes that hackers who know the system are likely to greater power to control one's account than the owner of the account.
So, people are left to suffer in silence hoping that no-one hacks their password files and that the bank's computers continue to work flawlessly.

Not necessarily the manager but someone who is competent who can help. In Dubai I liked the fact I dealt with the bank manager and then sat down with the operations manager. You know they care and want to offer a service which has been lost in the West.
