ZINGTOBER day 2: Discover

Feliz segundo día del Zingtober, ya estoy aquí con mi segunda ilustración, la palabra propuesta para hoy fue descubre pensé que seria una buena idea que un sanador internado en las profundidades de un bosque se encuentra con un nido de dragón tipo hierba, con algunas de sus crías ya eclosionando de sus huevos, así que de inmediato me puse manos a la obra para llevar a cabo mi idea, les mostrare un poco del proceso espero sea de su agrado.

Happy second day of the Zingtober, I'm here with my second illustration, the word proposed for today was discover I thought it would be a good idea that a healer deep in the depths of a forest comes across a grass dragon nest, with some of its offspring already hatching from their eggs, so I immediately got down to work to carry out my idea, I'll show you a little of the process I hope you like it.

Comencé haciendo un par de bocetos con mi idea, en primer plano dibujaria el nido de dragón con las pequeñas crías explorando el territorio, mientras que a la distancia el sanador aparta la hierba para poder ver bien el maravilloso descubrimiento a solo unos pasos de el.
Luego procedí a definir las líneas y agregar un par más de detalles.

I started by making a couple of sketches with my idea, in the foreground I would draw the dragon's nest with the little hatchlings exploring the territory, while in the distance the healer moves the grass aside to get a good view of the wonderful discovery just a few steps away from him.
Then I proceeded to define the lines and add a couple more details.

Luego procedí a colorear el dibujo usando una variedad de tonos grises para crear un poco de volumen en mi dibujo, comencé definiendo los detalles de los personajes principales y el huevo al centro de la imagen, el cual coloree por capas, haciendo las de la parte inferior más oscuras, pues la fuente principal de luz procede de arriba.
Y luego coloree el fondo de la imagen, para colorear luego todo la vegetación alrededor alternando diferentes tonos de grises para crear algunas capas de profundidad en la imagen.

I then proceeded to colour the drawing using a variety of grey tones to create some volume in my drawing, I started by defining the details of the main characters and the egg in the centre of the image, which I coloured in layers, making the ones at the bottom darker, as the main source of light comes from above.
And then I coloured the background of the image, and then I coloured all the vegetation around it, alternating different shades of grey to create some layers of depth in the image.

Por ultimo añadí algunos tonos de luz y estuvo lista mi entrada del día, me gusto mucho la escena, el primer dragoncito está absorto por la naturaleza a su alrededor, mientras que el segundo más precavido, observa atentamente al explorador, mientras que los otros dos huevos aún no terminan de eclosionar, me imagino que la madre viene a su lado en cualquier momento y el sanador queda aún más perplejo.

Finally I added some light tones and my entry of the day was ready, I really liked the scene, the first little dragon is absorbed by the nature around him, while the second one, more cautious, watches the explorer attentively, while the other two eggs have not yet finished hatching, I imagine that the mother comes to his side at any moment and the healer is even more perplexed.
