Hola amigos feliz día para todos!

Hoy quiero mostrarles un proyecto muy bonito en el que participe hace poco, un par de hermanos estaban interesados en retratar a sus dos padres, entonces me informaron que estaban en busca de un artista en Barquisimeto fue así como llegue a estos clientes para llevar a cabo su retrato de sus adorados padres, les mostraré el proceso de creacion de este retrato, espero sea de su agrado.

Today I want to show you a very nice project in which I participated recently, a couple of brothers were interested in portraying their two parents, then they informed me that they were looking for an artist in Barquisimeto was how I got to these customers to carry out their portrait of their beloved parents, I will show you the process of creating this portrait, I hope you like it.

Antes de comenzar les solicite algunas especificaciones como el tamaño y por supuesto la técnica, el tamaño elegido fue de 40x50cm y la técnica grafito, en ese momento comencé yo con la compra del material pues no tenia un papel con estas dimensiones específicas y adquirí también algunos lápices para poder trabajar cómodamente.

Before starting I asked them for some specifications such as the size and of course the technique, the chosen size was 40x50cm and the graphite technique, at that moment I started with the purchase of the material as I didn't have a paper with these specific dimensions and I also acquired some pencils to be able to work comfortably.

Como el formato de la imagen era muy amplio, es decir el retrato abarcaba una parte pequeña de la foto, recorte la imagen y la adapte al tamaño para poder cuadrar todo con mayor precisión, hecho esto comencé a abortar el dibujo y a cuadrar el retrato en el centro del formato.

As the format of the image was very wide, i.e. the portrait covered a small part of the photo, I cropped the image and adapted it to the size to be able to square everything more accurately, then I started to abort the drawing and square the portrait in the centre of the format.

Una vez estuvo hecho el dibujo comencé a hacer a darle forma, comencé por los rostros, pues como esta parte es la que contiene más detalles más mínimos y específicos, comencé con el rostro de la señora, haciendo trazos en un sentido y en el contrario, aplicando diferentes grados de presión dependiendo de la zona en la que se trataba, y detallando cada uno de los pliegues de su rostro.

Once the drawing was done I began to shape it, I started with the faces, as this part is the one that contains the most minimal and specific details, I began with the lady's face, making strokes in one direction and in the opposite direction, applying different degrees of pressure depending on the area in which it was, and detailing each of the folds of her face.

Luego procedí con el rostro del señor, este a diferencia de la señora se encuentra casi en sí mayoría en las sombras producida por el cuerpo de la señora, es por eso que para este retrato el trazo del lápiz fue un poco más parejo, a excepción de sí gorra para el cual empleé mi lápiz más oscuro para crear el tono.

Then I proceeded with the face of the gentleman, this unlike the lady is almost mostly in the shadows produced by the body of the lady, that is why for this portrait the pencil stroke was a little more even, except for his cap for which I used my darkest pencil to create the tone.

Fui bajando a medida que avanzaba en mi retrato fue así como llegue a la zona de su ropa, comencé en primer lugar a ubicar los pliegues de la tela y como los patrones se modificarán a dichos pliegues, en todo estaré haciendo trazos en diferentes sentidos para ir creando los volúmenes y texturas de este retrato.

I went down as I progressed in my portrait and that's how I reached the area of his clothes, I began first to locate the folds of the fabric and how the patterns will be modified to these folds, throughout I will be making strokes in different directions to create the volumes and textures of this portrait.

Uno de los detalles que más me gusto llevar a cabo de este retrato fueron los zapatos, pues aunque en un principio me sentía insegura de la forma, cuando comencé a colorear me gusto mucho como iba resultando.

One of the details that I liked the most in this portrait were the shoes, because although at the beginning I was unsure about the shape, when I started to colour it, I really liked the way it turned out.

Cuando los personajes principales de este retrato estuvieron listos comencé a trabajar en el fondo, primero sobre la zona del suelo, que estaba compuesta de suelo y algo de hierba, aunque no fui demasiado detallista en esta parte, creando una textura un poco más regular de pasto corto.

When the main characters of this portrait were ready I started to work on the background, first on the ground area, which was composed of soil and some grass, although I was not too detailed in this part, creating a slightly more regular texture of short grass.

La parte superior del fondo estaba compuesta de algunos árboles de gran tamaño y algunos largos tallos de bambú a cierta distancia de las personas, por lo que comencé a definir cada uno de los troncos y sus hojas, para luego proceder a llenar de grafito toda esta áreas mediante mi técnica de trazos lineales.

The upper part of the background was composed of some large trees and some long bamboo stalks at some distance from the people, so I began to define each of the trunks and their leaves, and then proceeded to fill all these areas with graphite using my linear strokes technique.

Fue un trabajo que me llevó varios días sentada solo haciendo casa uno de sus trazos, pero siento que ha valido mucho la pena el esfuerzo, normalmente no suelo dibujar este tipo de retratos de cuerpo completo y vaya que fue un reto duro, y mas porque al ser un retrato con estas características el espacio de rostro se me hizo muy pequeño para trabajar al detalle, pero se logro, pronto entregare este retrato a los clientes y espero ellos estén tan contentos como yo.

It was a job that took me several days sitting alone making each of his strokes, but I feel that it was worth the effort, normally I don't usually draw this kind of full body portraits and it was a hard challenge, and more because being a portrait with these characteristics the space of the face was too small to work in detail, but it was achieved, soon I will deliver this portrait to the clients and I hope they are as happy as I am.
