espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy he venido a mostrar una bonita ilustración que hice junto a mis dos hijos gatunos Julián y Rubén, ellos son los seres mas cercanos a mi y pasamos la mayor parte del año juntos, pero existe una semana al año en que debo dejarlos porque debo ir a visitar y pasar el feliz año con mamá, este año fue el mas difícil para mi, ya que las personas que normalmente dejo encargadas también estarían fuera de casa, al menos dos o tres días, por lo que estarían sin supervisión mucho tiempo y eso me hizo sentir muy mal por la preocupación, luego acontecieron unos hechos en el país y no sabia en ese momento como afectaría la movilidad general en el país, por suerte todo siguió su ritmo normal y yo pude volver en el tiempo previsto.

I hope you are all doing well. Today I am here to show you a beautiful illustration that I made with my two feline children, Julián and Rubén. They are the people closest to me, and we spend most of the year together, but there is one week a year when I have to leave them because I have to visit my mother and spend New Year's with her. This year was the most difficult for me, since the people I normally leave in charge would also be away from home for at least two or three days, which meant they would be unsupervised for a long time. This made me feel very bad because I was worried. Then some events took place in the country, and at that moment, I didn't know how it would affect general mobility in the country. Luckily, everything continued at its normal pace, and I was able to return on schedule.

Mis bebes ya estaban algo asilvestrados, andando entre los techos de las casas vecinas, pero al llamarlos y verme con sus croquetas en la mano bajaron hacia mi y todo volvió a la normalidad, pero todo el estrés de esos días me hizo pensar en que ya debo comenzar a amaestrarlos para llevarlos conmigo, ellos tienen un par de arneses pero se zafan fácilmente, debo reforzarlos y ademas comprar unos collares y kennels, ese sera el reto de este año con ellos.

Toda esta situación me animo a hacer mi ilustración del año junto a mis feliniños y mi idea fue dibujarme caminando con ellos, ilustrando así mi deseo para este año de poder llevarlo conmigo cuando viaje a casa, se que esto sera difícil sobre todo para mi niño Rubén quien suele ser mas tímido con otras personas que no sea yo. para el fondo de este ilustración quería un ambiente natural justo como suele ser en casa.

My babies were already a bit wild, walking on the roofs of neighboring houses, but when I called them and they saw me with their kibble in my hand, they came down to me and everything returned to normal. However, all the stress of those days made me think that I should start training them to take them with me. They have a couple of harnesses, but they slip out of them easily. I need to reinforce them and also buy some collars and kennels. That will be this year's challenge with them.

This whole situation encouraged me to do my illustration of the year with my kitties, and my idea was to draw myself walking with them, illustrating my desire for this year to be able to take them with me when I travel home. I know this will be difficult, especially for my boy Rubén, who tends to be more shy with people other than me. For the background of this illustration, I wanted a natural setting, just like it usually is at home.

Luego procedí a darle color, sobretodo quería que fuese una ilustración alegre y colorida, el gatito sobre mi cabeza lo coloree como mi gato bicolor Rubén, el es que tiene mas apego a mi por eso lo dibuje sobre mi cabeza, y esto no es mentira normalmente suele estar en mi mesa o sobre mis hombros, es mi apoyo emocional principal, el gato en mis brazos seria mi adorado gato naranja, el no suele ser tan cariñoso y apegado, pero también tiene sus formas especiales de hacerme sentir que soy apreciada por el.

Luego comencé con el coloreado, en una nueva capa sobre todas las capas de color con un pincel de trazo lineal, coloree todas las sombras con un todo morado, y luego usando un pincel con textura de técnica seca usando tramas comencé a definir mas detalles.

Then I proceeded to add color. Above all, I wanted it to be a cheerful and colorful illustration. I colored the kitten on my head like my two-colored cat Rubén, who is the one most attached to me, which is why I drew him on my head. and this is no lie, as he is usually on my desk or on my shoulders. He is my main source of emotional support. The cat in my arms would be my beloved orange cat. He is not usually so affectionate and attached, but he also has his own special ways of making me feel appreciated by him.

Then I started coloring. On a new layer over all the color layers, I used a linear brush to color all the shadows purple, and then I used a dry technique brush with textures to start defining more details.

Lo siguiente fue definir el fondo, quería crear un efecto como de dibujo con crayones de colores, algo que me gusta mucho cuando hago este tipo de dibujos es dibujar el contorno de las sombras y luego dibujar trazos dentro de estas lo mismo para las zonas mas luminosas, es una técnica bastante sencilla pero a mi me gusta mucho el efecto que esta crea, también dibuje algunos trazos sueltos, en el cielo cree un degradado usando solo lineas con diferente espaciado entre ellas para crear la transición de color entre ellas y las nubes quedaron igualmente con un efecto inacabado y etéreo.

The next step was to define the background. I wanted to create an effect similar to a drawing with colored crayons. Something I really like when I do this type of drawing is to draw the outline of the shadows and then draw lines within them, and do the same for the brighter areas. It's a fairly simple technique, but I really like the effect it creates. I also drew some loose lines, In the sky, I created a gradient using only lines with different spacing between them to create the color transition between them, and the clouds were left with an unfinished, ethereal effect.

Y finalmente así ha quedado esta que es la primera ilustración que hago en mi tableta de este año, estoy muy feliz que sea de mi y mis gatos, creo que ya puedo empezar a agrupar todas las ilustraciones que he hecho junto a ellos para ver el progreso (o no) entre ellas, les agradezco mucho por ver mi post! un abrazo!

And finally, this is how it turned out. It's the first illustration I've done on my tablet this year. I'm very happy that it's of me and my cats.
