Fernheart, Dark Arborist and Lichen Beast - Splinterlands Art Contest 343

Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad!

Espero se encuentren de maravilla, yo me siento muy feliz de presentar una vez mas una entrada en el Concurso de Arte de Splinterlands, me emociona mucho esta nueva ilustración porque esta vez en lugar de dos personajes he elegido tres cartas, y me encanto como todas se compenetraron, el primer personaje que elegí para esta seria fue Fernheart junto a el Lichen Beast y por ultimo de incorporo un Dark Arborist a continuación contare un poco del Lore y porque estas tres personajes están juntos.

I hope you are feeling wonderful, I am very happy to present once again an entry in the Splinterlands Art Contest, I am very excited about this new illustration because this time instead of two characters I have chosen three cards, and I loved how they all fit together, the first character I chose for this series was Fernheart along with the Lichen Beast and finally I incorporated a Dark Arborist then I will tell a little of the Lore and why these three characters are together.

Como les comente al principio, mi idea inicial era dibujar Kelvhan Fernheart, quien desde muy joven fue acogido por los bosques, proviene de una familia de bardos y músicos errantes, pero su inalcanzable amor por los bosques lo hizo volverse a el a muy temprana edad, aprendiendo a vivir en comunidad con su fauna y flora, formando una alianza muy solida, el tiempo que este vivió en los bosques hizo despertar la magia latente dentro de su ser y se convirtió en una figura venerable por los demás, en este transitar por el bosque conoce y respeta a Lichen Beast gigante oso de magia, madera y hojas, quien por su parte se encarga de velar igualmente por las criaturas del bosque cuidando las fronteras del bosque y los hombres.

A pesar de su implicación en los bosques, Lichen Beast siempre a tratado con recelo a Fernheart por no ser originalmente de los bosques, pero en cierta ocasión se tropiezan con un descarriado y problemático Dark Arborist, este pequeño gnomo rebelde ha emprendido una cruzada para luchar junto a los aliados, dejando de lado a su comunidad y el cuidado de los arboles que son su refugio, la consternación de la comunidad hacen que este poderoso druida y bestia se unan para llevar a salvo al Arbolista de nuevo a casa, sin embargo en medio de su misión son atacados por la Legión del Caos y es justo ese momento de inquietud e incertidumbre frente al ataque que quise retratar.

As I said at the beginning, my initial idea was to draw Kelvhan Fernheart, who from a very young age was welcomed by the forests, he comes from a family of bards and wandering musicians, but his unattainable love for the forests made him turn to it at a very young age, learning to live in community with its fauna and flora, forming a very solid alliance, The time he lived in the forest awakened the latent magic within him and he became a revered figure by others, in this journey through the forest he meets and respects Lichen Beast giant bear of magic, wood and leaves, who for his part is also responsible for watching over the creatures of the forest guarding the borders of the forest and men.

Despite his involvement in the forests, Lichen Beast has always treated Fernheart with suspicion for not being originally from the forests, but on one occasion they stumble upon a misguided and troublesome Dark Arborist, this little gnome rebel has undertaken a crusade to fight alongside the allies, leaving aside his community and the care of the trees that are his refuge, the consternation of the community make this powerful druid and beast unite to bring the Arborist safely back home, however in the middle of their mission they are attacked by the Legion of Chaos and it is just that moment of restlessness and uncertainty in front of the attack that I wanted to portray.

Con estas ideas en mi cabeza comencé mi dibujo, la figura principal de esta triada seria Fernheart, quien estaría en medio de ambo, sosteniendo con una de sus grandes manos al imprudente gnomo quien agita intensamente sus manos intentando zafarse del agarre de este druida, quien con mirada preocupaba intenta agudizar sus sentidos para oír mejor de donde provienen los sigilosos pasos de las tropas enemigas, Lichen Beast por su parte igualmente con mirada preocupada, presciente el inminente ataque y esta atento para el contraataque.

Luego que hice mi dibujo procedí a colocar la base de color, como siempre tome los colores del arte original, comencé definiendo la piel y cabello de Fernhaeart, intentando en cada caso recrear las texturas de pertinentes, lo siguiente fue colorear sus ropas, estas en su mayoría hechas de pieles y huesos de animales que obtiene de forma amigable con el bosque.

With these ideas in my head I began my drawing, the main figure of this triad would be Fernheart, who would be in the middle of both, holding with one of his big hands the imprudent gnome who shakes his hands intensely trying to get out of the grip of this druid, who with worried look tries to sharpen his senses to hear better where the stealthy steps of the enemy troops come from, Lichen Beast for his part also with worried look, aware of the imminent attack and is attentive to the counterattack.

After I made my drawing I proceeded to place the color base, as always I took the colors of the original art, I began defining the skin and hair of Fernhaeart, trying in each case to recreate the textures of relevant, the following was to color his clothes, these mostly made of skins and bones of animals that he obtains in a friendly way with the forest.

Luego continué con el coloreado de Lichen Beast, definí en primer lugar las zonas mas luminosas de las oscuras y luego procedí a detallar las hojas de su pelaje, una de las cosas que añadí a esta criatura y me gusto mucho fue una planta en su lomo justo después de su cabeza, imagino que su composición los hace propenso a crecerle mucha vegetación sobre su cuerpo y he visto como este tipo de plantas crece incluso en las ramas mas altas de los arboles generando bonitos paisajes, por ultimo procedi a pintar a Dark Arborist sus grandes y enarcadas cejas siempre le dan un aspecto de chico rudo, pero en el fondo es un chico dulce. Para este personaje comencé igualmente definiendo su piel y luego su larga melena azul, y deje para ultimo detallar su sombrero en forma de hongo, que parece una pequeña constelación.

Then I continued with the coloring of Lichen Beast, first I defined the lighter areas from the darker ones and then I proceeded to detail the leaves of his fur, one of the things I added to this creature and I liked it a lot was a plant on his back just after his head, I imagine that their composition makes them prone to grow a lot of vegetation on their body and I have seen how this type of plants grows even in the highest branches of the trees generating beautiful landscapes, finally I proceeded to paint Dark Arborist his big and raised eyebrows always give him a tough guy look, but deep down he is a sweet guy. For this character I also started defining his skin and then his long blue hair, and I left for the last detailing his mushroom hat, which looks like a small constellation.

Por ultimo. pero no menos importante porque me dio incluso mas lio que los personajes ha sido el fondo, comencé definiendo el pasto bajo sus pies y luego las rocas alrededor y por ultimo los elementos del fondo, pero estaba tan indecisa que colocaba y quitaba elementos, hasta que opte por rehacer el suelo en tonos mas cálidos y para los elementos mas lejanos del fondo los remplace por unas grandes mesetas a lo lejos, este fue el toque que me permitió estar a gusto con el fondo.

Y Finalmente esta ha sido la ilustración de la semana, espero sea de su agrado, un gran abrazo!
