Delya y Bera Dallin - Splinterlands Art Contest 330

El dia de hoy quiero presentar una nueva entrada al concurso de arte de Splinterlands, en esta oportunidad decidí hacer algo diferente y probar a dibujar dos personajes juntos, mientras leía el Lore de Delya pude ver que esta incluía en la descripción que en algún punto se unió a Bera y a sus aliados para luchar en contra de las fuerzas del Caos, a pesar que en la antigüedad era miembro de la Orden de Xenith encargados de mantener el equilibrio entre el bien y el mal y fue entonces que lo vi claramente, dibujaría una pose de acción de ambas luchando contra el mal, a continuación les muestro el proceso, espero sea de su agrado.

Today I want to present a new entry to the Splinterlands art contest, this time I decided to do something different and try to draw two characters together, while reading the Lore of Delya I could see that this included in the description that at some point she joined Bera and his allies to fight against the forces of Chaos, although in ancient times she was a member of the Order of Xenith in charge of maintaining the balance between good and evil and it was then that I saw it clearly, I would draw an action pose of both fighting against evil, next I show you the process, I hope you like it.

Comencé con la idea de la pose, en primer lugar las había imaginado liderando a las tropas desde el frente, pero luego pensé en algo mas cercano y entonces recordé esas escenas de acción en la que un par de protagonista de apostan espaldas contra espaldas para luchar contra los adversarios que los rodean, comencé entonces a desarrollar esa idea y y las dibuje una al lado de la otra asumiendo la pose que describí, y luego las situé en medio de un bosque de grandes arboles y detrás de ellos se ocultan unas figuras espectrales asechando y esperando el momento indicado para atacar.

I started with the idea of the pose, first I had imagined them leading the troops from the front, but then I thought of something closer and then I remembered those action scenes in which a couple of protagonists stand back to back to fight against the adversaries that surround them, I then began to develop that idea and drew them side by side assuming the pose I described, and then I placed them in the middle of a forest of large trees and behind them are hidden spectral figures lurking and waiting for the right moment to attack.

Luego procedí a aplicar el color, para ambas protagonistas elegí por supuesto los colores del arte original, y el fondo lo coloque simplemente en tonos grises mientras decidía los tonos para el bosque, luego comencé con el coloreado, esta vez estoy usando un programa diferente me cambie a Photoshop y decidí usar para este dibujo el set de pinceles secos y me encanta la textura que estos aportan todo el dibujo parece haber sido hecho con crayones de colores.
Primero coloree a Delya y fui en el proceso de coloreado también redibujando las lineas para colorearlas del tono que sera cada sección, ademas de darles el grosos justo en cada una.

Then I proceeded to apply the color, for both protagonists I chose of course the colors of the original art, and the background I simply placed it in gray tones while I decided the tones for the forest, then I started with the coloring, this time I am using a different program I switched to Photoshop and decided to use for this drawing the set of dry brushes and I love the texture that these bring the whole drawing seems to have been made with crayons.
First I colored Delya and I went through the coloring process also redrawing the lines to color them in the tone that will be each section, besides giving them the right thickness in each one.

Luego repetí el procedimiento en el resto de la imagen, coloreando todo su atuendo y armas, la verdad es que fui bastan paciente, pues para esta técnica suelo usar el pincel en un tamaño bastante pequeño para crear las lineas en el relleno y destacar el efecto que fue hecho con crayones, pero una vez que estuvo lista estuve bastante satisfecha y comencé entonces a colorear el fondo, como use colores bastante cálidos el fondo lo pinte igualmente luminoso y cálido, solo ensombrecido por las figuras espectrales tras los arboles

Then I repeated the procedure in the rest of the image, coloring all his attire and weapons, the truth is that I was quite patient, because for this technique I usually use the brush in a fairly small size to create the lines in the fill and highlight the effect that was made with crayons, but once it was ready I was quite satisfied and then began to color the background, as I used quite warm colors I painted the background equally bright and warm, only shadowed by the spectral figures behind the trees.

Para poder apreciar mejor los trazos de los que hablo, hice este pequeño acercamiento de las chicas, en especial disfrute trabajando en el rostro de las chicas y el cabello, pero lo que mas me gusta en general es el constaste en las personalidades de las chicas, Delya se siente mas optimista y animada por la inminente confrontación, mientras que Bera se ve mas seria y concentrada en los enemigos.
En fin esta ha sido la ilustración de esta semana, espero que haya sido de su agrado.

In order to better appreciate the strokes I'm talking about, I did this little close up of the girls, I especially enjoyed working on the girls' faces and hair, but what I like most in general is the constaste in the girls' personalities, Delya feels more optimistic and encouraged by the imminent confrontation, while Bera looks more serious and focused on the enemies.
