Decidí el mejor color para pintar mi casa (Esp-Eng)

Cambiar el color de mi apartamento por dentro es algo que me ha generado un poco de estrés, pues tiendo a no salir de mi zona de confort en cuanto a los tonos de mi casa y es que a veces me resisto al cambio y me da miedo que después no quede bien, entonces de tanto decidir por un color bonito para la sala, cocina, comedor, lavandero y pasillo me di por vencida jajajaja.

Así que opté por hacerle caso a mi hijo Danielito, el llevaba un tiempo sugiriendome que cambiarnos el naranja que yo tenía por un color gris, pero yo no le hacía caso, nada más el nombre de gris no me gustaba, y seguía buscando, el me mostraba fotos de la combinación y se veía bien e igual no me decidía.

Hasta que un día quise ya cerrar el tema de pintar el apartamento y le hice caso a su sugerencia y terminé pintando en la parte interna de mi apartamento gris y blanco, él mismo me ayudó a pintarlo y les confieso que el resultado final lo amé.

Changing the color of my apartment inside is something that has generated me a little stress, because I tend not to leave my comfort zone in terms of the tones of my house and sometimes I resist the change and I'm afraid that later it will not look good, then so much deciding for a nice color for the living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room and hallway I gave up hahahaha.
So I decided to listen to my son Danielito, he had been suggesting me for a while to change the orange I had for a gray color, but I did not pay attention to him, I just did not like the name of gray, and I kept looking, he showed me pictures of the combination and it looked good but I still did not decide.
Until one day I wanted to close the issue of painting the apartment and I listened to his suggestion and ended up painting the inside of my apartment gray and white, he himself helped me paint it and I confess that I loved the final result.

La combinación es perfecta, se ve un ambiente más fresco, serio, limpio, me gustó muchísimo al igual que las personas que han venido a visitarme. Incluso, a mi hermano le gustó tanto que va a pintar también de ese color, les confieso que estaba asustada con el resultado final, porque pensaba en que quedaría feo y tendría que comprar más pintura y lo que tampoco quería era gastar de más.

A parte de que cuando pintamos que se mueven las cosas y muchas quedan atravesadas me genera mucho estrés, me gustan las cosas donde van 🤣.

Al principio la pintura se veía como si fuese cemento y yo estaba preocupada, de hecho en ese momento llegó mi papá y me dijo que eso parecía obra gris y me desmotivó, a mi esposo tampoco le gustó y con sus comentarios noté que mi hijo, quien había escogido el color se estaba sintiendo medio triste, así que me puse a pintar con el y le dije que estaba muy bonito el color y que no hiciera caso a gente que no sabe.

The combination is perfect, it looks a fresher, serious, cleaner environment, I liked it very much and so did the people who have come to visit me. My brother even liked it so much that he is going to paint it that color too, I confess that I was scared with the final result, because I thought it would look ugly and I would have to buy more paint and I didn't want to spend too much.
Apart from the fact that when we paint that things move and many of them get crossed it generates a lot of stress for me, I like things where they go 🤣.
At first the paint looked like cement and I was worried, in fact at that moment my dad came and told me that it looked like gray work and it discouraged me, my husband did not like it either and with his comments I noticed that my son, who had chosen the color was feeling sad, so I started to paint with him and I told him that the color was very nice and not to pay attention to people who do not know.

Nos motivamos y pintamos toda la sala, si noté que en el caso de la pintura blanca al pintarla con la brocha, se veía en algunas partes la marca, así que esperé y al otro día todo lo blanco lo pinté con rodillo y quedó uniforme y bien blanco como yo quería.

En el caso de la pintura gris, con una mano queda más oscura, al aplicarle una segunda mano te cambia el color y te queda más claro, así que la pared que se ve de frente la dejé con una sola mano, la de la cocina fue muy cómico porque después que le eché una mano de pintura, le preparé una mezcla con pintura y pega, pero después de eso noté que se veía unas marcas de la brocha, por lo que vine y las repase con pintura del mismo tono.

Para mí sorpresa todas las partes que repasé habían quedado más claras y se veía la diferencia muy notable que me hizo tener que pintar todo de nuevo y perdí la mezcla esa que hice con pega que supuestamente al hacerlo puedes limpiar con trapo sin que se venga la pintura, así que no pude comprobarlo.

We got motivated and painted the whole room, I noticed that in the case of the white paint when I painted it with the brush, the mark was visible in some parts, so I waited and the next day I painted all the white with a roller and it was uniform and white as I wanted.
In the case of the gray paint, with one coat it is darker, when you apply a second coat it changes the color and is lighter, so the wall that is seen from the front I left it with only one coat, the kitchen was very funny because after I threw a coat of paint, I prepared a mixture with paint and glue, but after that I noticed that you could see some marks of the brush, so I came and reviewed them with paint of the same tone.
To my surprise all the parts I went over had been clearer and the difference was very noticeable that made me have to paint all over again and I lost the mixture that I did with glue that supposedly you can clean it with a rag without the paint comes off, so I could not check it.

Si dejé una columna con una sola mano de gris y al compararla con la que le aplique varias manos se nota la diferencia del tono.

En esta oportunidad utilicé una pintura de la marca Sham de Verona, tiene buena cobertura, pero para rematar tienes que saber que te quedará más claro. Está tiene un costo de 7$ el galón, yo utilicé para mí sala, comedor, cocina, lavandero y pasillo 3 galones grises y un galón blanco.

Espero poder tener más adelante para pintar con brillo de seda y así termine con el problema de que cuando salta el aceite muy alto en la cocina se me mancha la pared a pesar de tener cerámica, me imagino que con una campana esto también se solucionaría, pero no está en mis proyectos para lo que queda de año.

El cambio del color de la pintura me hizo darme cuenta de que necesito cortinas nuevas que me combinen, por lo pronto le puse una cortina blanca que tenía en mi cuarto y combinó bien, solo que es muy clara y se ve por la ventana, tanto así que me tocó ponerle un plástico negro a los vidrios de la ventana para tener privacidad 🤣.

También luego del cambio de pintura me animé a tapizar los muebles y así que todo quedará en perfectas armonía, ahí si es tiempo de un cambio, he pensado en comprar otros muebles, pero en verdad mis muebles son muy bonitos, cómodos y prácticos para mí, por eso no es fácil desprenderme de ellos, así que decidí quedarme con ellos, pero mandando los a tapizar en un tono gris que tengo tiempo viendo y me ha encantado y se ven muy bien con distintos tonos de pintura, estando este en mi lista de pendientes para el 2025.

Al momento de pintar debes tomar en cuenta de la calidad de la pintura dependiendo donde la vayas a utilizar, la tipo C la puedes usar muy bien en espacios interiores, pero si la aplicas afuera durará poco, lo sé porque ya lo hice.

Also after the paint change I was encouraged to upholster the furniture and so everything will be in perfect harmony, there if it is time for a change, I have thought about buying other furniture, but in truth my furniture is very nice, comfortable and practical for me, so it is not easy to get rid of them, so I decided to stay with them, but sending them to upholster in a gray tone that I have time seeing and I have loved and look great with different shades of paint, being this on my to do list for 2025.
When painting you must take into account the quality of the paint depending on where you are going to use it, the type C can be used very well in interior spaces, but if you apply it outside it will not last long, I know because I already did it.

También debes combinar los colores en el caso de que quieras hacer un contraste de un tono frío a un tono de luz como el blanco, porque de esto dependerá que tú casa se vea clara, limpia, amplia o oscura. El color blanco te hará que visualmente el espacio se vea más amplio, y tambiém se verá más iluminado y limpio, pero siempre es bueno combinarlo con otro tono que defina el concepto, yo amé el resultado de esta combinación, se ve muy bonito y elegante, te lo recomiendo.
