Así vivimos el desfile de carnaval escolar de mi pequeño (Esp-Eng)

Hola amigos, sean bienvenidos a mi blog. Deseo que hayan disfrutado de un feliz carnaval para quienes lo celebran de sus diferentes formas, entendiendo que cada quien tiene sus creencias para con esta fecha.

Sin embargo, yo llevo varios años sin asistir a la celebración del carnaval, a pesar de que en mi ciudad las actividades que se realizan son muy reconocidas, yo no me he animado.

Y esto porque mis hijos estaban pequeños y últimamente las fantasías que salían en los desfiles estaban encabezadas por hombres vestidos de mujeres y no era precisamente lo que quería que vieran mis hijos en este momento.

However, I have been several years without attending the celebration of carnival, although in my city the activities that take place are well known, I have not been encouraged.
And this because my children were young and lately the fantasies that came out in the parades were headed by men dressed as women and it was not exactly what I wanted my children to see at this time.

Me gusta disfrazar a mis hijos con sus personajes favoritos de superhéroes y esas cosas, pero lo que vi en los últimos carnavales que fui no me pareció lo mejor. Así que quizá ya para el próximo año los lleve a ver las carrozas un rato aprovechando que ya están más grandes, por lo pronto solo me limito a las actividades escolares.

Aquí se generó muchas diatribas por parte de algunos representantes por razones religiosas y para mí es entendible, por eso estuve muy atenta a que era el desfile como tal y entendiendo que era un desfile escolar, dentro de su escuela y donde recrearían las bondades del Roraima, pues quise participar.

Mi hijo quería que le hiciera su traje. Era el primer desfile que iba a participar por el tema de la pandemia, así que los dos nos entusiasmamos y pusimos manos a la obra. Lo primero que hice fue elaborarle el traje. A su salón le tocó la Guacamaya, uno de los pájaros que existen en el monte Roraima. Muchas madres nos pusimos a elaborar los trajes, unas con más habilidades y presupuestos que otras, pero al fin, pudimos realizarlos.

I like to dress up my kids with their favorite superhero characters and stuff, but what I saw at the last carnivals I went to didn't seem the best. So maybe next year I will take them to see the floats for a while, taking advantage of the fact that they are older, for now I just limit myself to school activities.
Here many diatribes were generated by some representatives for religious reasons and for me it is understandable, so I was very attentive to what was the parade as such and understanding that it was a school parade, within their school and where they would recreate the goodness of Roraima, I wanted to participate.
My son wanted me to make his costume. It was the first parade he was going to participate in because of the pandemic, so we both got excited and got down to work. The first thing I did was make his costume. Her classroom got the Macaw, one of the birds that exist in Mount Roraima. Many of us mothers got to work on the costumes, some with more skills and budgets than others, but we were finally able to make them.

Mi hijo estaba contento, al principio lo noté un poco introvertido, pero cuando vio a sus amigos disfrazados igual, se motivó y hasta bailó con la maestra. Su traje llevó varios días de realizar, porque lo elaboré con papel crepé y era delicado.

Le hice hasta unas patas de pájaro e íbamos poco a poco para que no llegara a la escuela desplumado, ja, ja, ja. Utilicé varias cosas que ya tenía en casa como la cenefa de una cortina y unos lentes de cuando, las mascarillas del Covid-19 para realizarlo.

Lo importante de todo es que esta fue una actividad escolar, donde ellos resaltaron las bellezas del Roraima y donde los representantes se tomaron el tiempo en elaborarle sus disfraces y acompañarlos en esa actividad. Mi hijo por primera vez participó en este evento y estaba muy contento y eso fue lo más gratificante para mí. Él estaba supercontento con su traje, con sus lentes con pico, con sus patas de pájaro.

My son was happy, at first I noticed he was a little introverted, but when he saw his friends in the same costume, he became motivated and even danced with the teacher. His costume took several days to make, because I made it with crepe paper and it was delicate.
I even made him some bird legs and we went little by little so he wouldn't arrive at school plucked, ha, ha, ha, ha. I used several things I already had at home like the border of a curtain and some glasses from when, the Covid-19 masks to make it.
The important thing is that this was a school activity, where they highlighted the beauties of Roraima and where the representatives took the time to make their costumes and accompany them in this activity. My son participated in this event for the first time and he was very happy and that was the most gratifying thing for me. He was very happy with his costume, with his glasses with beak, with his bird's feet.

Y para mí esa fue mi mayor satisfacción, ver su cara de alegría diciéndome a cada momento que su traje estaba increíble, que le había gustado mucho, que muchas gracias por hacérselo, eso fue lo mejor. Él pasó un rato fabuloso, y esa es mi mejor recompensa.

And for me that was my greatest satisfaction, to see his happy face telling me every moment that his suit was amazing, that he liked it very much, that thank you very much for making it for him, that was the best thing. He had a fabulous time, and that is my best reward.
