Snowballing Hive #18
It's been a while since the previous post where I mentioned the changes to my Hive snowballing strategy. Over the past few days, the process has been running semi-automatically, as it should, but I've detected some trends that led me to change some details.
Everything I share here is my experience and is geared toward users like me who have very little or no capital to invest. Of course, assessing the effectiveness of the snowballing strategy is very difficult at first, especially when investments are small. In these cases, time, discipline, and consistency are key.

SNOWBALLING HIVE
The concept of Hive snowballing is simple: compound interest and maximize wealth accumulation within the Hive ecosystem, but not limited to it. For example, it took me about two years to stake my first 1,000 Hive (Hive Power [HP]). However, it only took me one year, since October 2024, to stake my second 1,000 Hive. This means it took me 50% less time to scale from 1,000 to 2,000 than from 0 to 1,000.
The overall goal is to create a foundation that allows me to meet expenses without affecting my HP and, if possible, the interest earned will cover my basic monthly needs. It's a tough challenge, but it's a long-term one. Of course, this only applies to those who view their Hive account as a personal business and are long-term in creating and accumulating wealth.
General Update
I'm keeping my blog rewards at 50% HBD and 50% HP due to the need for liquidity to take advantage of the opportunities the LEO ecosystem is offering after its tokenomics update. The goal of reaching 3,000 HP in ten months is still in place, but it's lower in priority than accumulating LEO, LSTR, and SURGE tokens.
With this last goal in mind, I delegated 975 HP to @leo.voter, which allows me to earn, at current prices, ~0.35 - 0.5 LEO per day. Although this decreases my voting power, the projected continued increase in LEO value makes it worthwhile. I continue to actively vote on content, although I try to keep my voting power at least below 80%. Community building is also a daily task: commenting, helping and encouraging new members, generating initiatives or projects and offline activities. This always comes back, even if it's not measurable monetarily, because some things don't have economic value but have great spiritual value.
In Cuba, 20 to 35 HBD would be enough to cover a month's survival needs; in other countries in Latin America, Africa, or Asia, the figure would be 200 to 300 HBD.
Another area where I've increased my long-term investment is in permanent HSBI units. I now have a total of 912 units. This allows me to have a stable and secure income on Hive through my posts.

Finally, I'm looking to diversify my profits through Layer 2 tokens and liquidity pools.
Token List Changes
The remaining tokens not on the holding list are being converted to one of the listed tokens for inclusion in liquidity pools or staking.
My token list remains focused on the following list:
- $LEO, LSTR, SURGE, POB, BBH, BBHO, CENT, BEE, WAIV, ALIVE
Staking token delegations that give me passive earnings:
- 2043 POB to @pob.voter, giving me 0.234 HIVE weekly.
- 1426.41 $LEO to @centtoken, for which I receive 0.326 SWAP.HBD weekly.
- 16.83 BEE to @bee.voter, with a reward of 0.036 HIVE every seven days.
- 204 ALIVE to @gestion.alive, which gives me between 1.2 and 1.5 ALIVE per week.
- 975 Hive Power to @leo.voter, which pays ~0.33 - 0.5 LEO per day.
Of the $BBH token, I own 11,923 BBH, which gives me a weekly profit of 0.05711,975 SWAP.HIVE and 0.079 LEO. The amount of BBH increases each time I use the !BBH command to tip a user.
As for BBHO, the goal is to reach 10,000. I currently own 782.11 BBHO. This token can be earned by using #bbh as the first hashtag in your posts.
I also managed to accumulate 138.342 SURGE, which gives me 0.37 HBD per week (I decided receive this in LSTR equivalent).
BBH and BBHO are tokens that pay dividends for holding or staking them.
Liquidity Pool Changes
I eliminated my position in the liquidity pool for the LSTR:LEO pair. The LEO per share (LPS) ratio of LSTR is constantly increasing by design (Leostrategy continually buys and stakes LEO), which causes a rebalance of the liquidity pool. This leaves me with less LSTR and more LEO, which, while not affecting the initial investment, does affect the potential profits from increasing LSTR's LPS.
The changes in the HIVE:BEE and HIVE:CENT pairs are minimal; the increase in liquidity pool participation is covered by token curation rewards or conversions. And here I had to resist the temptation to withdraw my stake and convert everything to LEO, LSTR, SURGE, or BBH.
You should make investments you feel comfortable and confident with, but you shouldn't let FOMO blind you either. If the fundamentals don't change, maintaining the initial strategy is the right thing to do, even if the potential returns are lower.
Conclusion
These ideas are aimed at users who, like me, have very little or no capital to start investing. The main investment is profits obtained through publishing content on the Hive blockchain or through the use of faucets or PTC pages. All the opportunities and possibilities mentioned here are related to the Hive blockchain and its Layer 2 tokens. Time and patience are key.
I repeat, what you do with your money is your responsibility. Do your research before investing.
If you have any ideas or questions to share, I'd love for you to leave them in the comments.

Actually don‘t know if this still works.
Great post and a good financial plan.
I eish 30-35HBD would cover my costs of living unfortunately here in Austria I can go for a Pizza and 3 beers and thats it.
I wish that the 30-35 cost of living were a god sign, but don't. The minimal wage in the country is like 10 HBD. Few ones earn more than 50 HBD per month, and that is the minimal amount IMO to live and eat decent and save around 5 to 10 per month (in case you are only 1 person without dependants).

Congratulations on maintaining that progressive growth!
