Coffe, friendship and literature

The International Book Fair arrive to Santiago de Cuba, the last step to close the door until February 2026. This year not only come with books, the dates match with the Pepe Sanches Trova Fest; the most important festival of this kind of music. But that was not the most important. The cherry of the cake was that a coffe lover friend that move to live to the capital come back for a few days. I am talking about @gaviotawriter.

She is working with the main juvenil editorial of the country and come to show part of their catalogue and to talk about his winning of the David (an important literary competition in Cuba). People say that nobody is profet in their own land but we lovers of CI-FI in Santiago de Cuba always consider her one.

So, how can it not be any other way, we celebrate her return with coffee. First in a small coffee shop where I don´t take any photo (she do) but where we talk a lot and, at least for me that hour looks like a few minutes. She is one of that persons with that I love to talk and listen. In this place I, kidding with her, ask if she prefer cuban (expresso but stronger) or american coffee (we don´t even consider that coffee). Of course, her face expresion give me the answer that I already know.

After that, we meet again a few hours late in a artistic meeting where she was interviewed and yes, we take coffee again and I was able to takes this beautifull pictures. So as you can see, coffee is not only a delicious drink, is something that we share and that is part of the memories we make.
