Vengo entusiasmado a la comunidad de ajedrez para mostrar mi desempeño en estilo bala con una jugada (!!), muy contento por el avance y por estar cerca de los 1000 puntos ELO, vamos a la partida: En el mundo del ajedrez, a veces no hace falta una apertura sofisticada ni un plan de veinte movimientos, aunque los movimientos de libro es importante el conocerlos, hasta los mejores ajedrecistas en modo de juego rápido (bala) se le hace difícil no cometer errores.
I come excited to the chess community to show my performance in bullet style with a (!!) move, very happy about my progress and about being close to reaching 1000 ELO points. Let’s go to the game: In the world of chess, sometimes you don’t need a sophisticated opening or a twenty-move plan. Although it’s important to know book moves, even the best chess players in fast games (bullet) find it hard not to make mistakes.
La apertura transitó por senderos conocidos, peón de dama, desarrollo sólido y piezas menores que ocuparon sus casillas naturales. Con 10... e5 comencé a marcar el rumbo, tomando la iniciativa y obligando a las blancas a calcular. Tras algunos intercambios, llegamos a un medio juego donde mi dama y mis torres apuntaban directamente al rey rival, que se había enrocado corto demasiado pronto.
The opening went through familiar paths: queen’s pawn, solid development, and minor pieces taking their natural squares. With 10... e5 I began to set the tone, taking the initiative and forcing White to calculate. After some exchanges, we reached a middlegame where my queen and rooks were aiming directly at the rival king, who had castled short too early.
La partida alcanzó su punto crítico en la jugada 20. Qxa7, cuando mi rival buscó material capturando un peón. Parecía que tenía ventaja, pero respondí con el sacrificio 20... Rxf2!!, una jugada de doble admiración: entregué la torre sabiendo que la respuesta obligada 21. Rxf2 abría la puerta al golpe definitivo. De inmediato lancé 21... Qxf2 = (!!) La dama negra entraba de manera espléndida dejando al rey blanco sin respiro y expuesto a una red de mate inescapable.
The game reached its critical point at move 20. Qxa7, when my opponent went for material by capturing a pawn. It seemed like an advantage, but I replied with the sacrifice 20... Rxf2!!, a double-exclamation move: I gave up the rook knowing that the forced reply 21. Rxf2 opened the door to the decisive blow. Immediately I played 21... Qxf2 (!!). The black queen entered brilliantly, leaving the white king breathless and exposed to an inescapable mating net.
Tras el sacrificio, las blancas quedaron a la deriva. Con maniobras precisas de caballo (24... Nf2+ y 25... Ng4+) fui acorralando al rey enemigo, llevándolo hacia su propia tumba en la columna e. El desenlace no tardó: 27... Rxe1#, un jaque mate limpio y estético, ejecutado con la torre que antes había parecido condenada al sacrificio.
After the sacrifice, White was left adrift. With precise knight maneuvers (24... Nf2+ and 25... Ng4+) I cornered the enemy king, pushing him toward his own grave on the e-file. The conclusion didn’t take long: 27... Rxe1#, a clean and aesthetic checkmate, executed with the rook that had once seemed doomed to sacrifice.
Más allá del resultado me sorprendí a la hora de revisar la partida el gran movimiento que hice y como veía las piezas, la partida es un recordatorio de lo que hace grande a este juego: la capacidad de transformar una posición aparentemente equilibrada en una obra táctica. Últimamente estoy subiendo mucho de categoría, y si bien no lo juego "en profundidad" ya que no tengo mucho tiempo, tengo el refrán: "Ganar o aprender"
Beyond the result, I was surprised when reviewing the game by the great move I made and how I viewed the pieces. The game is a reminder of what makes this game great: the ability to transform a seemingly balanced position into a tactical masterpiece. I've been upgrading a lot lately, and while I don't play it "in depth" because I don't have much time, I still have the saying: "Win or learn."
