Hello dear community of @humanitas a pleasure to pass by and be able to be giving my opinion in this Initiativein which we see an approach between engineering and humanities, so I invite @yaslenysofia and @theshot2414 to participate in it.

We know that both points are not only different according to the approach in which each one works, since engineering is more about calculations, quality and mechanical development of things, while humanities is more about the intellectual, philosophical and creative part of people, so that ultimately each one clashes in terms of the development of an element or management of work situations.
However, from my point of view both need each other, or better, they complement each other, since in the engineering approach to create and develop technologies and capable equipment, the support of humanities is not superfluous, as a support for the intellect and definition of the correct use of the same development, so that its use is more comfortable for everyone. Although human values could be categorized as unnecessary in the development of an algorithm or protocols, the truth is that they are important and necessary, since it is important to consider ethical and human values when assessing the points to build such algorithms and to know how they will be used in a good way.

As well as the development of artificial intelligence it is true that the engineer develops it, but if humanities does not control its use, its proposal and its capacity to transmit and develop the different activities that are defined, then in the end it will be used in a bad way, as a machine created to destroy instead of being used to help humanity, not to control it. It is a game in which both must work together, they must support each other and give their opinion of each process, considering that there will certainly be points in which both will separate and recreate their abilities, but in others they will coincide and make decisions together.
It is important that from an early age both are encouraged together, not simply separately, since both complement each other and can work together, so it is not wrong to put humanities subjects in an engineering career, to teach more creative and intellectual philosophy as well as the reason for the proper use of the creations, likewise in a humanities career it is not wrong to teach calculations, see some algorithms and encourage deeper creations that require the ingenious use of each one. Above all, when talking about the digital era in which knowing a little bit of everything can motivate a proper, reliable and regularized use so that everyone is satisfied.
