Es ahí cuando Evelina siendo una mucama del hogar de Leandro, decide apoyarlo en esta situación, queriendo simplemente que el fuese feliz pese al destino que él llevaba en sus hombros, la intensión de mostrarle afecto, cuidarlo y ser una compañía agradable para que pudiera ser sus días más amenos pese a la maldición que cargaba encima, que no solo eran marcas en su cuerpo, también dolor y le impedía crecer como el adolescente que ya era, por tal motivo Evelina lo apoyo en todo lo que pueda hasta poder lograr que Leandro supere la maldición y pueda ser feliz pese a la historia que ella conoce originalmente.
Leandro a medida que crece se va encariñando con ella, entendiendo lo que es realmente ser amado, cuidado y protegido por alguien que no le importas como sea vea o que al menos no crea que le puedes generar daño por lo que llevas contigo, es un cariño que nunca ha experimentado y a partir de ello comenzará a saber lo que es realmente amar, aunque no será tan sencillo ya que Evelina es una simple mucama que trabaja en su casa, pero nada es imposible cuando realmente se quiere a alguien, así como Evelina descubrirá que la historia tomara un rumbo diferente y las verdades que nunca se mostraron sobre Leandro y la familia imperial tras la maldición y el romance que debía tener con la protagonista principal.
