That's how our Christmas was. / Así fue nuestra Navidad [ENG/ESP]

I hope you all had a joyful Christmas. Today I want to share how this year went for me, what we experienced and did. First of all, we had planned to go to a shopping mall near our house to buy food and take my nephew there to have fun, but unfortunately, because of my sister's work, we couldn't make it. So, we decided to go the next day and buy lunch right away, because we wouldn't have the energy to do anything else.
On the 24th, I was between my house and a neighbor's house. She had gone on a trip and left her animals in someone else's care. However, her dog got sick. The caregiver didn't know or tell me anything, so I had to take charge of administering her medicine and keeping an eye on her to see how she was doing, which, I must say, is going very well, thank God. Well, and it's a good thing we didn't go out either, because I gave my little black dog some Quiet Moments pills, and they didn't work for her. She was trembling from the fireworks and wasn't thinking straight, poor thing. I really don't know when they'll ban fireworks. And it wasn't just my dogs who were affected; my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, wasn't sleeping either because of the noise.
Anyway, amidst all that hustle and bustle, around 11 o'clock, Baby Jesus arrived (yes, because we're not at an age where we can stay awake past midnight, and even 11 was already late, but what did it matter?). My little nephew's joy was indescribable; he didn't know what to open or what to play with first. Everything excited him, especially the remote-controlled car and the astronaut, who blew so many bubbles that he finished the little bottle of soap in no time. It was definitely worth every effort to give my little one those gifts. I feel it was better to buy him several little things rather than just one expensive item, because that way he has the opportunity to explore his creativity and make other things with them.
The next day, the 25th, my sister, my nephew, and I went to the mall while my dad stayed home to take care of my mom. Aaron really enjoyed himself. He went on some rides, ate ice cream, his favorite chicken, and we got pizza for dinner—his absolute favorite. He ate six slices all by himself; he beat me to it! And the amazing thing is, he didn't turn on the TV once, he was completely engrossed in his new toys. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that I gave him a small video game, which he liked, but I have to get him the car games that are in the picture, since he doesn't like losing at the others, and according to him, he's going to win at that one 😒.
And that's how our Christmas went: simple, with a few worries, but we achieved our goal of making the youngest member of the family happy the whole time.

Espero hayan pasado una navidad llena de alegría, el día de hoy quiero compartirles como me fue este año, lo que vivimos e hicimos. Primero que nada, teníamos planeado ir a un centro comercial cerca de la casa, para comprar comida y llevar a mi sobrinito a que se divirtiera, pero, lamentablemente por el trabajo de mi hermana no se logró, así que, tomamos la decisión de ir el día siguiente y comprar el almuerzo de una vez, porque ya no tendríamos animo de hacer nada.
El 24 estuve entre mi casa y la casa de una vecina que, se fue de viaje y dejo al cuidado de otra persona a sus animales, no obstante, su perrita se enfermó, la cuidadora no sabia ni avisaba nada y tuve que encargarme de administrarle sus remedios, además de estar al pendiente de ella de ver como evolucionaba que, debo decir, va muy bien gracias a Dios. Bueno, y menos mal tampoco salimos, ya que le di unas pastillas a la perrita negrita mía, las de quiet moments y no me funcionaron en ella, estuvo temblando por los cohetes y no pensaba la pobre, la verdad no sé cuando será el momento en que prohíban la pirotecnia y, no solo mis perros se veían afectados, también mi mamá quien sufre de Alzheimer, tampoco estaba durmiendo por los sonidos.
En fin, entre todo ese ajetreo, ya como a las 11 llegó el niño Jesús (si, porque ya no estamos en edad de durar más allá de las 12 e incluso, ya a las 11 era mucho, pero que más daba), donde la alegría de mi sobrinito era indescriptible, no sabia ni que abrir ni con que jugar primero, todo le emocionaba, sobre todo el carro control remoto y el astronauta que, hecha muchas burbujas, tanto que acababa el potecito de jabón en un dos por tres. En definitiva, valió cada esfuerzo en darle esos regalos a mi chiquito, siento que era mejor comprarle varias cositas y no una sola cosa cara, porque así tiene la oportunidad de explotar su creatividad y crear otras cosas con ello.
Al día siguiente, el 25, fuimos al centro comercial, mi hermana, mi sobrino y mi persona, mientras mi papá se quedaba cuidando a mi mamá, el cual fue un momento que Aarón disfrutó en grande, se montó en unas pequeñas atracciones, comió helado, el pollo que tanto le gusta y nos llevamos pizza para la cena, su preferida, en verdad, le encanta, se comió 6 pedazos el solo, me gano. Y, lo increíble de todo, es que no hubo ningún instante en que encendiera el televisor, puro con sus nuevos juguetes; ah y se me olvidaba decirles que, por mi parte, le regale un pequeño videojuego, el cual le gusto, pero tengo que conseguirle los juegos de carros que aparece en la imagen, ya que no le gusta perder en los otros y, según él, en ese, va a ganar 😒.
Y así fue toda nuestra navidad, sencilla, con algunas angustias, pero logramos la meta de que el más peque de la familia fuera feliz en todo rato.
