On Saturday my cousin wrote me, she is making a visual identity to promote with the theme of sublimation and other things, something like that; well, she asked me to make an illustration of the mascot for the brand, like the tiger of the Kellogs brand, well something like that. She sent me some illustration styles that she liked, I attach the same ones, in short, I put my hand to work, showing her then the process.

It's not the first time I have to draw assimilating other styles, I had to do assignments years ago where I had to draw Simpson style, but I can't deny that I have my own style (or at least on the way to find it) and it's hard for me to adapt to others, even so, I achieved the task. She passed me Chatgpt's description of how the shape of the mascot could be, so, based on both references, I started with the sketch of the figure.

At the beginning, I had planned to make the wings pixelated, but after making the lines clean, I preferred to make them normal and then pixelate some areas. I showed him this first part, and he told me that it would be better without the star eye (since that's how it appeared in Chatgpt's description) and the different pose. At that, I suggested to her that the nose is also very distinctive of the illustrator, that, if she could change it, to something more mine and she accepted, she liked this first part very much, since the hair was similar to her daughter's hair.

After that, I started to give it the base colors (the green background is to better see the shades of these colors and to see if there were no gaps).

When giving the shadows and highlights to the hair, adding the colors of the logo, I added an overlay texture layer and lowered the opacity, I really liked the texture of this layer because it is like the shape of the pixels.

After that, I shaded the rest of the body, the blush on the cheekbones; as well as the hair, to the wings I added the logo colors, the white lines, lowered opacity, to highlight the veins of these and also the same texture layer on the hair, lowered opacity and superimposed. After this and with a Krita brush, I added the pixels according to the color of the wings and some stars.

I exported this little fairy in png and in another document, I made the background, with some textures and in light tones. I passed the image in jpg with the background and in png without the background and it was a very well received order and, what do you think of this little fairy? By the way, now with this pixel brush, it made me want to make pixel illustrations.
