The story begins when Yoshida, a 26-year-old office worker, is rejected by his boss, Airi Gotou, after confessing his feelings. To ease the pain of his crush not reciprocating his feelings, he decides to drink with his coworker and best friend, Hashimoto, becoming completely drunk. On his way home, he encounters a high school girl, Sayu Ogiwara, under a lamppost. She asks him for a place to stay, explaining that she's a runaway and would pay with her body. He refuses, but can't leave her there alone, so he takes her to his home.
When he wakes up the next morning, he doesn't remember what happened, wondering if he took advantage of her. The girl emphasizes that he repeatedly rejected her, so he decides to set strict rules: in exchange for shelter and safety, she would do the housework, cleaning and cooking, until she decided to return to her family. She agrees, becoming Sayu's responsible and protective figure. As the story progresses, the young woman's dark past is revealed: why she ran away from home, how she began sleeping with many men in exchange for shelter and food, and so on. Personal opinion
First, let's talk about what I liked about the anime, and without a doubt, it was the protagonist's attitude. He was quite responsible and very decent. I wish more people would behave like him, and I'm not saying everyone, because you really can't generalize about everyone; there's still decency left. The only thing I find problematic about his decisions is that he let her stay, and as far as I'm concerned, he shouldn't have done that. Even though there were no ulterior motives or anything like that, it's not right. It would have been better to take her home or see what happened and not stay with her. I feel there were other ways to help her, I think. What do you all think about this? The other thing I liked was the development of the female character; you really understand why she behaves the way she does and you end up empathizing with her. Her trauma and vulnerability are well represented, especially with the mother she has to deal with. Although her brother is a good person and helped her, I feel he should have been more attentive to her and a clear figure in her life, something like what Yoshida was doing.

Likewise, the themes it addresses are quite reflective: suicide, bullying, and many more, which ultimately lead to finding hope after encountering a stable and principled person. However, what I didn't like, besides the unnecessary fanservice, especially given the themes it explored, was the harem trope. It didn't make sense, particularly since the boss, who had rejected him, now wanted him because she was attracted to a female colleague. She didn't want him to end up with Sayu because she saw their relationship as more paternal, but she also didn't think it was right for Gotou to be pursuing him after having already rejected him. It felt forced. Although I don't think the novel clarifies the relationship between Sayu and Yoshida, I don't see it as romantic at all.
Other points that were debated at the time included the idea that Yoshida is overly idealized, which I don't understand. I feel like they're lumping all men together, portraying them as people who would take advantage of her without hesitation. Hey, that also comes down to upbringing. I want to believe we're guiding my nephew to be a good man and not act impulsively 😥. I know uncles and men with good morals. Another issue was the girl having sex in exchange for shelter. This led many to reject the story and not even finish it, when there's really more to it than that. Besides, nobody's a saint. What was even worse were the men who took advantage of the girl's vulnerability. Anyway, it's not a great plot or anything like that, and the animation is nice but average. Even so, its themes are profound and emotional.

I feel that it's a rather unconventional story, not for everyone, and you have to be quite open-minded, especially because of certain actions by the characters. I know it wasn't right for him to shelter a minor, but even so, he's a redeemable male character in every sense. He couldn't be perfect, and the same goes for the young woman; she had a terrible start, but she still found her way.

Hoy hablar de un anime que, a pesar de sus controversias, primero por las acciones del protagonista masculino que, aunque me gusta su manera de pensar, tienden a no ver las consecuencias de sus acciones, por muy buenas y puras que sean, aunado de la protagonista y todo el tema de las edades y muchas cosas más. En fin, siento que este anime abrió muchos debates en su momento, así que no esta mal volverle a dar una miradita.

Estrenada para el año 2021, bajo la dirección de Manabu Kamikita y del estudio de animación Project No.9, su creador es Shimesaba y es una historia de comedia romántica, con un total de 13 episodios.
En cuanto a la trama…
La historia inicia cuando Yoshida, un oficinista de 26 años es rechazado por su jefa Airi Gotou, tras confesarle sus sentimientos; para aliviar el dolor de que su crush no le correspondió, decide beber con su compañero de trabajo y mejor amigo, Hashimoto, quedando completamente borracho. De camino a su casa, se encuentra con una joven de secundaria debajo de un poste, Sayu Ogiwara, quien le pide alojamiento pues es fugitiva de su casa y pagaría con su cuerpo, a lo que él rechaza, pero no puede dejarla sola ahí, así que la lleva a su hogar.

Opinión personal
Primero, hablemos de lo que me gusto del anime y sin duda, fue la actitud del protagonista, el cual fue bastante responsable y muy decente, ojala muchos se comportaran como el y no digo todos, porque realmente no se puede encasillarlos en general, todavía queda decencia, lo único que encuentro inconveniente en sus decisiones es que la dejo quedarse y, en lo que a mí respecta, no debió hacerlo porque, aunque no hubo segundas intenciones y nada por el estilo, no esta bien, es mejor llevarla a su casa o ver que paso y no quedarse con ella, siento que había otras formas de ayudarla, pienso yo ¿no sé que opinan al respecto ustedes?. Lo otro que me gusto, fue el desarrollo de su personaje femenino, realmente comprendes el porque de comportarse de esa manera y terminas empatizando con la misma, sus trauma y vulnerabilidad están bien representados, sobre todo con la madre que se carga, aunque el hermano es buena gente y la ayudaba, pues siento que debió estar más al pendiente de ella y ser una figura clara con ella, algo como lo estaba haciendo Yoshida.
Asimismo, los temas que aborda son bastantes reflexivos, el suicido, el bullying y muchos más, que al final logran encontrar su esperanza tras encontrar una persona de buenos principios y estable. Ahora sí, lo que no me gusta además del fanservive innecesario, más con los temas que abordaba, fue que, el harem que no cuadraba, más aun con la jefa que lo había rechazado, ahora si quería porque una compañera le estaba gustando, ósea no quería que quedara con Sayu porque veía la relación más paternal, pero tampoco lo veía bien que la Gotou estuviera pretendiéndole cuando ya lo había rechazado, se siente forzado; aunque el final ni creo que la novela, termina aclarando la relación de ambos, de Sayu y Yoshida, yo no lo veo para nada romántico.
Otras de las cosas que se debatió en su momento fueron que, Yoshida se siente como muy idealizado, lo cual no entiendo, siento que encasillan a todos los hombres por igual, que se aprovecharían de ella sin dudarlo, epa, eso también va desde la crianza, quiero pensar que estamos guiando a mi sobrino hacer un hombre de bien y no actuar por impulso 😥, conozco a tíos y hombres de buena moral. Lo otro fue que la chica tuviese relaciones sexuales a cambio de refugio, este hecho hizo que muchos rechazaran la historia y ni la terminaran, cuando de verdad hay algo más que eso, aunado que nadie es una santa paloma, lo que estuvieron aun más mal fueron los hombres que se aprovecharon de la vulnerabilidad de la chica; en fin, no es una gran trama ni nada por el estilo y su animación es bonita pero normal, aun así, sus temas son profundos y emotivos.

-Temas profundos bien desarrollados.
-Un protagonista con una gran responsabilidad y moralidad.
-Un gran desarrollo de su protagonista.
-Un drama bastante maduro.

-El fanservice innecesario.
-Un harem que nada que ver, muy forzado.

Siento que, es una historia bastante, no para todo el publico y hay que ser bastante abierto de la mente, sobre todo por ciertas acciones de los personajes, sé que no hizo bien a refugiar una menor de edad, pero aun así es un personaje masculino rescatable en todos los sentidos, no podía ser perfecto e igual pasa con la joven, tuvo un comienzo terrible, pero, aun así, consiguió su camino.
