🎮 My YouTube Journey – Part 2: From Scratch, One Video at a Time
Hello everyone and to @hivegc community. If you haven’t read Part 1 of my YouTube journey yet, you can check it out here: https://ecency.com/hive-140217/@xtianjeff/how-i-started-my-youtube
Now here’s Part 2 — the continuation of my story as a growing gaming content creator.
As I continued uploading walkthrough gameplay videos, I slowly learned new skills like editing thumbnails and videos. Can you guess what app I’ve been using? InShot — yes, I edit both my thumbnails and videos using this app on my phone.
It’s not the easiest setup, I’ll admit. But it works. That’s why I always tell aspiring YouTubers this: you don’t need expensive gear to start. What’s important is that you begin. Start with what you have — whether it’s an old phone, basic earphones, or free editing apps. No need to wait until everything is perfect.
When I first started recording, it wasn’t always easy. I was the recording guy, the editor, the thumbnail designer, and the one writing video descriptions — all at the same time. The most time-consuming part for me? Making thumbnails. It takes a lot of thought and creativity, but it’s also one of the most fun and challenging parts of the process.
Honestly, every video I upload feels like a small victory. I learn something new each time — a better way to edit, a new strategy for gameplay, or how to connect with my viewers more genuinely.
So if you’re planning to start a YouTube channel, especially a gaming one, here’s my advice: don’t wait. Start now. Your first video won’t be perfect — and that’s okay. Every big YouTuber you admire started with zero subscribers and awkward videos.
How will you know if it will work if you never try?
You’ve waited long enough — it’s time to begin your journey today.
Until next time,
Jeff
