Good morning, Friends!
Today I want to share with you an experience I had one weekend evening last year. It took place in the New Garden of the National Palace of Queluz.
Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and, of course, the Genie of the Lamp could not fail to be the main protagonists of this experience.
Using lights installed in semi-translucent structures, it manages to give a fantastic effect and play of light. To embellish the whole scene, fireworks were also part of the show, as well as the sound design and the immersive environment with augmented reality and lasers.
The tale of One Thousand and One Nights, including Aladdin, has been familiar to young people and children for generations, both through Disney and the translation of the tale from Arabic - Hanna Diab - into French, by Antoine Galland.
The careful lighting of the various structures, which brings the characters and the other environments to life, makes this journey of just over a kilometer a true emersive adventure. The tunnel of light and sound makes any child and even an adult travel through the dunes of the Sahara Desert, and makes arriving at an oasis a real feast.
Aladdin's dream has always been shared with all children... and adults. Who wouldn't want to find a magic lamp and, after rubbing it, be surprised by a magical being who granted the person who had freed him from the prison of thousands of years three wishes? Yes, three, no matter how great!
Have you ever wondered what you would wish for if the genie in the lamp actually existed?
This experience was offered by my goddaughter's parents. I loved the fact that I traveled in this dream... In fact, things become much simpler when you see the world through the eyes of a child. Don't you think so?

The show's phenomenal entrance
Symmetry has always impressed me... and not just me. We are always surprised to find it in everything around us
The adventure was just beginning... the sounds, everything elevated to a greater exponential, perhaps because we didn't have daylight. Night makes everything more magical in this case, don't you think?
This palace guard had an impressive detail. And the canvases used to cover the sculpture had a gradient that introduced a shade very similar to the skin tone
And what do you have to say about this pool of light? I wasn't able to capture the magic of this setting with a photograph... The smoke and the laser light gave it an impressive atmosphere of mystery!
Another view of the pool created by the event's producers
the size of the figures clearly exceeded the traditional 1.70m, appearing as mythical figures with enormous visual impact
The plant and floral elements, and even the trees depicted, took the visitor to an exotic environment, of resplendent landscapes and hidden charms
Lanterns are a common theme in all Arab tales. Much due to their main function, to keep out darkness and gloom. To shed light on what surrounds, and to illuminate the lives of those who might be afraid... Sign of intelligence, clairvoyance
Detail of one of the central patios in the labyrinth gardens
Despite the fantastic detail of the reflection in the water, I couldn't get the photo to do justice to all its beauty
The detail that light creates is unique
The most anticipated moment of the evening... the moment when Aladdin frees the Genie from his prison... the magic lamp!

Another delicious detail of the fantastic story

The camel, or more correctly the dormouse, could not fail to be present...

The ring given to the princess delighted the youngest members of the group
The magic of light is something that awakens the most beautiful in the night... breaking through the darkness like fantastic bands
The reflection of water, one of the most valued elements of society, because only with it around would societies be able to develop

Thank you for taking the time to read it
