How are you feeling today? It seems like yesterday was the saddest day of the year... Fortunately, I didn't feel that way. I think that as the days get longer, I feel happier and more inclined to do things outside the house. Today, the weather wasn't great in Lisbon at the end of the day. I ended up going to the gym, but rain marked the end of the day... making me want to go home even more than if the weather had been nicer.
Well, as usual, Tuesday is the day we publish about a birthday boy from the world of music. And today I chose someone from a band I discovered relatively recently. I'm talking about Nathan Connolly, who turns 45 today. The Irish guitarist and vocalist is well known for being part of the band “Snow Patrol.” He was born in Belfast, and during his childhood and adolescence he was part of a gospel choir.
While Connolly was working in a shop in Belfast, he was invited to join the band Snow Patrol. Although he was reluctant to join, and even though the band did not yet have a record deal at the time, he became a permanent member in 2002. His admission had a major influence on the band's more recent sound.
His participation as a songwriter brought new life to the band, which managed to release the album “Final Straw” with the new record deal secured in 2003. This album was hugely important in promoting the band to a wider audience, as it captivated many fans with its iconic tracks.

Como se sentem hoje? Parece que ontem foi o dia mais triste do ano... Felizmente não me senti assim. Eu acho que os dias estarem a ficar cada vez maiores, deixa-me mais bem disposto e com mais vontade de fazer coisas fora de casa. Hoje, por acaso o tempo não esteve fantástico em Lisboa ao fim do dia. Acabei por ainda ir ao ginásio, mas uma chuva marcou o fim do dia... fazendo que a vontade de regressar ao lar seja maior do que se estivesse o tempo mais agradável.
Bem, mas como já vem a ser habitual, terça feira é dia de publicação acerca de um aniversariante do mundo da música. E hoje escolhi alguém que é de um grupo musical que conheci há relativamente pouco tempo. Falo-vos de Nathan Connolly, que hoje completa os seus 45 anos. O guitarrista e vocalista Irlandês é bem conhecido por fazer parte da banda "Snow Patrol". Nasceu em Belfast, e durante a sua infância e adolescência fez parte de um coro musical de gospel.
Enquanto Connolly trabalha numa loja em Belfast, foi convidado a juntar-se ao grupo "Snow Patrol, e apesar de estar relutante em se juntar, e mesmo porque a banda nessa altura ainda não tinha nenhum acordo discográfico, tornando-se um membro permanente em 2002.
