Three Tune Tuesday ~ Pearl Jam ~ Eddie Vedder ~ Birthday Boy #70 [Eng-Pt]

Good evening to all music lovers!
For the 70th edition of today's birthday boy, I bring you the great, world-renowned, and famous... Eddie Vedder.
Eddie, born on December 23, 1964, turns 61 today.
Yesterday, coincidentally, I had a Christmas dinner with friends from my teenage years. Many years have passed since we met, about 28 years... A lot of water has flowed under the bridge, and even though we have all grown older.
There were 13 of us sitting down to dinner, and our ages ranged from 58 to 38, so there were many different tastes, different generations, different experiences, despite the friendship that brought us together at the time.
And at a certain point during dinner, someone asked the question:
“What was the concert of your life?”
Suddenly, one of the people, without hesitation, said it right away:
Pearl Jam concert! And right after that, four or five more friends agreed with the choice.
I am personally a fan of Pearl Jam, and the concerts I have attended, unfortunately not as many as I would have liked, were shows that left a mark on me.
No one can remain the same after attending a Pearl Jam concert. You may not know the lyrics by heart, or have studied the set list of their previous shows, but the connection that the Illinois singer has with the audience is something unique.
And it's not just the connection he establishes at the time of the concert. The band members often go to beaches on the Portuguese coast to surf in the days leading up to the concert.
Eddie doesn't do this as often anymore, as some recent health problems have made it inadvisable.
And you, were you also part of a generation that was marked by this band from Seattle? Did you listen to their albums until they wore out, buying them a few days after their release? We're talking about a time when piracy meant copying them onto an audio cassette or CD (for those who had a CD burner). It wasn't “simple”... ahaha And YouTube hadn't appeared yet, nor any of the music streaming platforms.
If we wanted to, or felt like listening to a particular song, we had to be lucky enough to hear it when it was played on one of the many themed radio stations of the time, or if we had the albums, we could enjoy the experience as many times as we wanted, whenever we wanted.
And of all Pearl Jam's albums, which is your favorite?
For me, it's definitely “Vs”!
I'm going to choose three songs, and the hardest part will be just that... choosing only three!

Para a septuagésima edição do aniversariante do dia, trago-vos o grandioso e mundialmente reconhecido e famoso... Eddie Vedder.
Eddie, nascido a 23 de Dezembro de 1964, completa hoje os seus 61 anos.
Ontem, por coincidência, tive um jantar de Natal de amigos da adolescência. Muitos anos passaram desde que nos conhecemos, cerca de 28 anos... Muita água correu de baixo da ponte, e apesar de todos termos envelhecido.
Eramos 13 pessoas sentadas para jantar, e as idades variavam entre os 58 anos e os 38, por isso havia muitas gostos diferentes, gerações diferentes, vivências diferentes apesar da amizade que nos uniu na altura.
E a certo ponto do jantar, alguém colocava a questão:
"Qual foi o concerto da "vossa vida"?".
Subitamente, uma das pessoas, sem hesitação, disse-o logo:
Concerto de Pearl Jam! E logo de seguida mais 4 ou 5 amigos concordaram com a escolha.
Eu, pessoalmente, sou fã dos Pearl Jam, e os concertos deles que eu assisti, infelizmente não tantos como os que gostaria, foram espectáculos que deixaram a marca em mim.
Ninguém pode ficar na mesma depois de ter assistido a um concerto dos Pearl Jam. Pode nem saber as letras de cor, ou se quer ter estudado o alinhamento dos anteriores espetáculos por eles dados, mas a conexão que o vocalista de Illinois tem para o com o público é algo único.
E não é só a ligação que ele estabelece na altura do concerto. Frequentes são as idas dos membros da banda, nos dias anteriores ao concerto, a praias da costa Portuguesa, para praticarem Surf.
Actualmente, Eddie já não o faz tão frequentemente, pois alguns problemas recentes de saúde o contraindiquem.
E vocês, também foram de uma geração que foi marcada por esta banda de Seattle? Ouviam até ao exaustão os álbuns, quando os compravam poucos dias depois do seu lançamento? Estamos a falar de uma altura, em que pirataria se resumia a copiar para uma cassete audio ou para o CD (quem tivesse gravador de CD's). Não era "simples"... ahaha E o Youtube ainda não tinha aparecido, nem nenhuma das plataformas de streaming de música.
Se queríamos, ou se nos apetecesse ouvir determinada música, tínhamos que ter a sorte de a escutar quando fosse transmitida por muitas das rádios temáticas da altura, ou se tivéssemos os álbuns poderíamos ter a experiência quantas vezes, e sempre que o quiséssemos.
E de todos os álbuns de Pearl Jam, qual é o vosso favorito?
Para mim é seguramente o "Vs"!
Vou escolher 3 músicas, e o mais difícil vai ser mesmo isso... escolher apenas 3!
