#Monomad Challenge - Subtle differences

avatar

Good evening, #Monomad friends

Sometimes I find myself taking "serial" photographs of a moment. Most of the time, quite frankly, it's because I don't have my own photographic equipment, and since I'm photographing with a cell phone, I don't want to be "caught" looking at the screen for the "reason" I'm photographing, although sometimes I "pretend" to be looking at something on the equipment. I confess it's a bit embarrassing, as I have a very shy and introverted personality.

Looking through a set of photos I took a little over half a week ago, and in the process of editing and selecting the best photo in the series... I realized that all the photos in the same series had "something" different to offer... That each one contributed to an overall vision, a movement, a cadence. And some even had very interesting notes.

Obviously it wasn't intentional at all, nor did I expect the result to be so satisfactory.

The intimacy and complicity of two people, movement, body dialog...

At first glance, it seems quite similar to the first one, and in fact it has many similarities. The individuals are closer and the "dance" of their bodies is about to begin

In the first photo, I would never have expected this turn from the person on the left, probably in response to an interjection from the person on his right. I like to imagine dialogues, situations... What about you?

In the second series, and in a position that was in every way similar to the one he had taken in the previous series, a long-distance train was approaching the platform... A girl, wearing headphones and well-fitted pants, would be the essential element to add some drama and suspense to the scene. In this first photo of the series (I started with a discreet rotational movement of my torso), which made it possible to take advantage of the panning... Notice that the moving train doesn't even have a movement artifact...

...second photo of the second series: I was able to follow the girl's movement, but the train, as it approached me, didn't allow me to reduce its movement artifact - and that's a good thing! Otherwise the photo wouldn't be half as interesting... Two objects in different planes in focus, we wouldn't have any indication of the movement of the two... or at least of the second - inanimate - object

And my favorite photo of this second series, and even of the two series! I was only able to identify it after transferring the file from my phone to my computer and looking at it! Look at the perfect reflection of the girl's face in the window of the moving train. It's true that in the previous photo it can already be identified, but not in such a clear and artistic way
