#Monomad Challenge - Memories from Havana [En-Pt]
Good morning, #Monomad friends
Today I want to share with you a set of photographs I took on my only trip so far to the island of Cuba.
At the time, March 2010, it was a very hot afternoon...
People, locals and tourists alike, were strolling through the busy and very picturesque streets of Havana.
The photographs I took then, originally in color, are almost indelibly marked by their origin.
It's impressive to note that the need of a population that had to find alternatives to socio-economic conditions, as well as the successive embargoes and rationing caused by the central government, has led to these cars becoming almost a symbol of Cuban identity.
Hoje quero aqui partilhar um conjunto de fotografias que fiz na minha única viagem, até ao momento à ilha de Cuba.
Nessa altura, Março de 2010, estava uma tarde bem quente...
As pessoas, locais, e turistas, passeavam-se pelas movimentadas e muito pitorescas ruas de Havana.
As fotografias que então tirei, e originalmente a cores, marcam de forma quase indelével a sua origem.
Impressionante reparar, que a necessidade de uma população, que teve que encontrar alternativas às condições socioeconómicas, bem como as sucessivos embargos e racionamentos causados pelo governo central, levou a que estes carros, fosse hoje tornados quase como um símbolo da identidade cubana.

Yes. It's is impressive how they can manage to keep them running... And the shot were taken in 2010, but it pretty sure that if I was there this week, their look and aspect would be the same, or even "better"!
