#Monomad Challenge - A rainy day in Belém
Good afternoon, #Monomad friends
It's been a while since I've had a Sunday like today. I went out after lunch to have a snack at a famous pastry shop in the Restelo area, which has famous croissants that almost everyone who lives nearby knows about.
As the afternoon wasn't over yet, I decided to walk down to Belém. It's an area I've always liked to visit. I have to confess that as I remember the last walks I took with my father through the gardens of the Jerónimos Monastery, it's one of my favourite places and it's very close to both my work and my home. I can get here in a few minutes by car.
The afternoon, marked by the monotonous sound of the raindrops that marked the rhythm of the windscreen wipers, led to falling asleep and reflection. I tried not to give in to this call...
I parked the car, this time very close to the Navy Museum, which is very close to the area I wanted to walk around. Just the fact that I'd found a place here indicated that it was a different day from the others. A different day. And that's exactly what it was. The pavements, which on other days, and on other Sundays when the weather was more pleasant, would have been full of tourists and lovers strolling along, today, there were very few feet on them...
Even the limestone Santos didn't look like they had anything different. Keeping their gaze, always confident that tomorrow could be different.
How was your weekend? Was it slightly monotonous and monotonic too?
Cheers🍀
