CCC's Street Art Contest #247 "International Comic Book Fair mural" Part II / "Mural da Feira Internacional BD" Parte II - APURB, Amadora, Portugal [Eng-Pt]

Good afternoon, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Who remembers those instant photo machines that were located in shopping malls? We would go in and sit on a chair, close the curtain, have a mirror in front of us and prepare to be photographed. There were four photographs, if I'm not mistaken. And all four could be different. But at the time, those who used these machines usually did so because they had an urgent need for a passport-style color photograph. And it was used to hand in to a transport company so that we could get a transport pass, or for our identity card... Other times.

Nowadays, if you tell a kid about it, he'll think you're joking. Today, photos are taken on the spot and digitally attached to documents, or even the photo on our ID card is digitally read by the entities that need it.

The mural I want to share with you today is a continuation of the mural I shared with you here last week, and is part of the same event at the International Comic Fair in the city of Amadora.

Although this book doesn't have a title, I confess that I would like to “baptize” it as “Everyday Heroes”. Why? Well, if you look closely, the graffiti consists of eleven images of at least four different characters. The secretary with the curly hair, the grandmother, the businessman with the tie and the boy! Although they all look the same, they have different poses, just like in those photographs we used to take on the automatic cameras I mentioned earlier.

And why did I call it “Everyday Heroes”? Because they all appear as if “masked” with a piece of underwear - a pair of briefs! As if challenging us to do the same... to show the world and put on our faces what we rarely show. Is our mask really the most intimate part of us? Do we show others every day what we don't want to be?

I'd love to have your opinion, if you'd like to share it, of course. I'd be delighted to see any further explanations for this very different work!

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a good week, everyone!

Cheers🍀

Bem Hajam🍀

At first, when I arrived there by car, the mural aroused my interest because it took advantage of the yellow background color, which really stands out from its surroundings. Then, when you get closer, you realize the characteristics of each character, and even the facial features that make them almost human in comic book style.
Have a great day, LB4!
Weekend is almost here 😁

Yes, the background make them stand out even more.
They are funny and each are so different.

Cool series with these four characters, very fun. Special to wear an underwear on your head, I hope it's not the one you wore the day before 😀 Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a wonderful day

Well, that would add an extra "layer" of superhuman power to them, or maybe not! LMAO

Enjoy your day, Heroldius!
