CCC's Street Art Contest # 243 "Baby Bear" "Ursinho bebé" - Bordalo II, Cacém, Portugal [Eng-Pt]

Good afternoon, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I shared a post in this community. Part of that was because I lost all the photos I had on my computer. But so much for the past, right?

Well then, the other day, I was returning from a little shopping trip in a locality near my house, when I came across these little stairs, which connect two streets that are on different levels, and which are located between two buildings, in a residential area.

If you look, the piece was designed and built by the artist Bordalo II, who uses plastic waste to give a new use to what used to be considered just a material to be recycled.

In this piece, Bordalo uses the fact that we have two walls, at different levels, to give the teddy bear an even more three-dimensional feel.

The use of plastics from public furniture (garbage cans), personal protective equipment (green helmets) and even a buoy from the high seas (used by fishing boats), leaves us completely amazed at their ability to be a small, colorful piece that leads us to dream...

Look at the gentleman who was coming up the stairs at that moment. It looks like he's on our baby bear's back./Reparem no senhor que estava a subir as escadas naquele momento.

Sorry about losing your photos, that sucks I can imagine. I have over a thousand photos that I have not shared yet, better I save them elsewhere too.

That's a creative and colorful street at you've found, I can imagine it took long to create.

Yes, it is like the saying says: "Cry over the spilled milk..."
It is indeed a work that brightens up this small part of a suburb area, that otherwise it would be only two flights of stairs painted in white.
