Are you clinging to a vain idea?

It's not the years of your life that count, but the life in your years...

We will all have a limited existence. We appear, we are, we leave. Whether we believe in a “life beyond this one” or not, what is, simply cannot be circumvented, everything ends.

But what counts? It's not the end. Or it could be, but the end is reserved for everything and everyone. The best movies, as well as the best books, can be so without having to be absolutely fantastic every page or every minute. Life is a crescendo. There is an introduction, which can correspond to our first stage.

This introduction will set the tone and the framework for everything that will follow. What we have around us, the people we will live with, who will teach us, who we will learn from, where we will be and where we will go. Everything counts. And as much as we think that the future “is written”, or that destiny is set, I can no longer ‘disagree’ with this idea or this “current” of thought.

We largely have the power to decide certain things in our lives. Of course, if we are born in a country where our simple subsistence and existence is in danger, the opportunities available to us will not be the same as if we lived in another, safer, more prosperous location.

What we do with what we have will largely determine how we will be tomorrow. Focusing only on the less positive things that happen to us subjects us to a "straitjacket" that we put on ourselves.

We should be able to see that some situations are only so, not because of the "bad will" of those on the other side, but most probably because they really can't do things better or differently.

Thinking or seeing difficulties or adversities as something that is particularly aimed at us, as if it were a personal attack, is an arrogance that we shouldn't have.

What could you do better to relate to others? Is there anything you could change right now to make the other person's day better, or in the slightest way not make it worse?

Indifference towards those around us reveals a narrow-minded and very limited mentality, unable to see beyond the immediate gains, or any possible self-interest when the other benefits for some reason.

Thank you so much for your time and atteention.
