My three favorites smells in the world - Week 203

The scents bring us so many memories that I even consider smell to be one of the most important human senses. Aromas have the ability to transport us to various moments, places, and sensations almost like magic. Everyone has their favorite scent. I've thought a lot about my top three favorite scents, ones that weren't so obvious.

In my number one spot is the smell of dogs. Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows how much I love dogs and smelling them. For me, that typical puppy smell is just delightful. I like their natural scent, you know? Without that post-pet-shop perfume. The smell of dogs, for me, is synonymous with love and loyalty. That's why I love hugging, smelling, and being with my dogs all the time. Haha.

In second place is the smell of a good Brazilian barbecue. The funny thing is, I'm not a big fan of barbecue, but the smell of succulent meat roasting over the coals... wow! It instantly opens up my appetite! I can't even describe my feelings about this aroma, seriously! But I find it delicious.

Lastly, the most different one, but I know many people will agree. The smell of gasoline when we're refueling the car at the gas station. It may seem kind of mundane, but it's such a characteristic smell for me. I think it's because it automatically reminds me of driving, which is one of my favorite things to do.

My top three favorite scents have absolutely nothing to do with each other, right? But they remind me of really good feelings, and taking the time to think about it and write this post here brought back great memories of my favorite scents.

Oh, of course, an honorable mention to the smell of rain, which I know is a favorite of many people too, including me!
