Music-filled, hectic weeks

This week has been absolutely hectic!
Between daily tasks, my work as a journalist, and everything else, rehearsals have completely taken over my evenings — and for good reason! This Saturday, my band is playing again at Muzik, and I’m so excited. It’s going to be a party themed “MTV Generation,” so expect a lot of emo, hardcore, and nu metal… We’re working on a special setlist, full of power, emotion, and intensity. Rehearsing has been such a relief in the middle of the chaos that’s been my last month: even when I’m exhausted, I come home with that good feeling of doing something I truly love — and escaping my anxiety a little.

And there’s barely time to catch my breath, because next Thursday there’s more: I’ll be performing solo and with the choir at SESC. It’s going to be a night full of layers — a mix of vulnerability, intensity, and connection. Each rehearsal has been a different kind of dive: sometimes more introspective, sometimes more collective, but always very real. This time, for my solo performance, I chose to sing What’s Up? by 4 Non Blondes — a song that has always felt like a safe haven for me, musically speaking. I feel really good when I sing it. I think it suits my voice, it’s upbeat, and everyone knows at least the chorus…

Between sheet music, voices, instruments, and tight schedules, I’ve been trying to capture a bit of it all in photos — when I remember. The behind-the-scenes moments, the tiredness, the rare instants when everything just aligns...

These next two weeks promise a lot. There’ll be chaos, sweat, and emotion.
But above all — there’ll be music.

Essa semana tá sendo de correria total!
Entre uma tarefa e outra do dia a dia e meus trabalhos como jornalista, os ensaios estão tomando conta da minha rotina noturna – e com razão! No sábado tem show com a minha banda novamente no Muzik e eu já tô muito muito empolgada. vai ser uma festa com o tema Geração MTV, então vamos tocar muito emo, hard core, nu metal... A gente tá preparando um repertório especial, cheio de força, entrega e emoção. Ensaiar é um alívio no meio da loucura que tem assolado meu último mês: mesmo cansada, volto pra casa com aquela sensação boa de estar fazendo o que eu gosto muito e fugir da ansiedade.

E nem dá tempo de respirar muito, porque na próxima quinta-feira tem mais: vou me apresentar sozinha e também com o coral no SESC. Vai ser uma noite cheia de camadas — uma mistura de vulnerabilidade, intensidade e conexão. Cada ensaio tá sendo um mergulho diferente: hora mais introspectivo, hora mais coletivo, mas sempre muito verdadeiro. Dessa vez escolhi pra minha apresentação solo cantar a música What's Up? da banda 4 Non Blondes, que sempre foi um porto seguro pra mim, musicalmente falando. Eu me sinto muito bem quando canto essa música. Acho que ela combina com a minha voz, é animada, todo mundo conhece ao menos o refrão...

Entre partituras, vozes, instrumentos e agendas apertadas, tô tentando documentar um pouco disso tudo em fotos quando eu lembro. Os bastidores, o cansaço, os momentos em que tudo se alinha…

Essas duas semanas prometem muito. Vai ter correria, vai ter suor, vai ter emoção. Mas vai ter, acima de tudo, música.
