Saludos familia Hive, en esta semana 293 la temática sugerida es "Abriendo mares".
Escogí el tema " El mar y el cielo", escrita por el puertorriqueño Julio Rodríguez Reyes y ha sido interpretado por el Trío Los Panchos, por José Feliciano y por José Luis Rodríguez entre otros excelentes cantantes de la época.

Greetings Hive family, in this week 293 the suggested theme is "Opening seas".
I chose the song "El mar y el cielo", written by the Puerto Rican Julio Rodríguez Reyes and has been performed by the Trío Los Panchos, by José Feliciano and by José Luis Rodríguez among other excellent singers of the time.

Seleccioné este tema porque mi padre Alfredo Valdivia Cutti es un apasionado de esta y muchas canciones de este estilo interpretadas por estos cantantes, sobre todo por unos de sus cantantes preferidos José Luis Rodríguez (El Puma) y aunque la he cantado muchas veces con él no había tenido la oportunidad de cantarla sola y no me habia detenido a internalizar la letra, aunque tiene una agradable melodía cuenta una historia triste.

I selected this song because my father Alfredo Valdivia Cutti is passionate about this and many songs of this style performed by these singers, especially by one of his favorite singers José Luis Rodríguez (El Puma) and although I have sung it many times with him I had not had the opportunity to sing it alone and I had not stopped to internalize the lyrics, although it has a pleasant melody it tells a sad story.

Esta canción es uno de sus temas favoritos y cuando lei que el tema de la semana se relacionaba con el mar, inmediatamente fue el tema que vino a mi memoria y decidí cantarla a pesar de que no me gustan los temas donde se hable del desamor.

This song is one of his favorite songs and when I read that the topic of the week was related to the sea, it was immediately the song that came to mind and I decided to sing it even though I don't like songs that talk about heartbraker

Estoy segura que no solo mi padre y yo sino muchas personas en el mundo se identifican con la letra de esta canción donde en la distancia pareciera que la pareja está junta, unida. La realidad es otra, sólo hay apariencia de una pareja feliz pero la verdadera realidad es que sólo los une un papel.

I am sure that not only my father and I but many people in the world identify with the lyrics of this song where in the distance it seems that the couple is together, united. The reality is different, there is only the appearance of a happy couple but the true reality is that they are only united by a role.

Yo sigo creyendo que un amor nos debe acompañar en la vida hasta que dejen de latir nuestros corazones y cuando internalizo la canción y la comparo con la época en que comencé a escucharla en mi casa veo que no se relacionaba para nada con la vida de mis padres, para ese momento.

I continue to believe that a love should accompany us in life until our hearts stop beating and when I internalize the song and compare it with the time when I started listening to it at home I see that it was not related at all to the life of my parents, at that time

Con los años todo cambió y lamentablemente se separaron aunque en el papel tienen 54 años de casados. Decidieron no continuar juntos engañando a los hijos, a la familia y la sociedad con algo que ya no era compatible.

Over the years everything changed and unfortunately they separated although on paper they have been married for 54 years. They decided not to continue together, deceiving their children, their family and society with something that was no longer compatible.

Continúan siendo excelentes amigos. Y nos enseñaron a comprender que la vida sigue, que el amor por los hijos es infinito. Siempre compartimos los buenos, los difíciles y los significativos momentos de la familia. Cumpleaños, bautizos, días del padre, de la madre, navidad, nacimiento de los nietos entre otras celebraciones relevantes como ha sido también el sepelio de una nieta y un bisnieto.

They continue to be excellent friends. And they taught us to understand that life goes on, that love for children is infinite. We always share the good, the difficult and the meaningful family moments. Birthdays, baptisms, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, the birth of grandchildren, among other relevant celebrations, such as the funeral of a granddaughter and great-grandson.

Por eso dejo esto como una reflexión, el mar es inmenso y hay que abrir brechas donde cada quien pueda disfrutar su vida a su manera, sin rencores, siempre con respeto y una sincera convivencia en los encuentros importantes sin causar daños emocionales ni psicológicos a ninguno de los seres que conforman la familia.

That is why I leave this as a reflection, the sea is immense and we must open gaps where everyone can enjoy their life in their own way, without resentment, always with respect and sincere coexistence in important encounters without causing emotional or psychological damage to any of the beings that make up the family.

La idea es que una vez que se conforma una unión por amor estos permanezcan unidos para siempre hasta cuando la muerte los separe, pero si no funciona, por el bienestar de todos es mejor no fingir y buscar la mejor forma para que todos sean felices como el infinito del cielo.

The idea is that once a union of love is formed, they remain united forever until death separates them, but if it does not work, for the well-being of everyone it is better not to pretend and look for the best way for everyone to be happy like the infinity of sky.

Y es como dice la canción; cuando en la pareja esa inmensidad de azules se separan y se convierten en mar y cielo no deben continuar juntos y de esta manera no estropear el crecimiento personal de sus hijos, que crecen viviendo en una mentira.

And it's like the song says; When in a couple that immensity of blue separates and becomes sea and sky, they should not continue together and in this way not spoil the personal growth of their children, who grow up living in a lie.

Esto me lleva a una reflexión: que hay que cultivar el amor cada día para no convivir por apariencia y por lo menos a mí me gustaría siempre ser el aire para encargarme de unir al mar y al cielo para que estén
juntos por siempre.

This leads me to a reflection: that love must be cultivated every day so as not to coexist for appearance and at least I would always like to be the air to be in charge of uniting the sea and the sky so that they are together forever.
