I always thought Hive has a great potential to reinvent ads. I still do. Rewards system is within Hive's DNA. Rewards is only one step towards more comprehensive solution. Being decentralized, having full ownership wallets, immutable database, fast and free transaction are all ingredients that could at some point result in creative solutions that will reinvent ads. We are not there yet. If anybody would do it, it would be either Bitcoin or Hive or another network that shares similar characteristics.
I too believe incremental rewards through Hive has great potential. BUT NOT WITH ADS.
You don't SEE the ONE CRUCIAL element as to why ADS WORK and why MicroStrategy sees potential for them to work with Bitcoin...
ADS WORK on platforms that have already amassed a very large audience.
Such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter... And obviously BITCOIN (+ETHEREUM) are also networks with MASSIVE AUDIENCES.
Hive cannot be seen equal. ADS need a massive reach because the potential for sale is small in comparison. They need to spread through that mass of viewers to then reach the individual that is already primed for a purchase so that doesn't happen on a small network.
LEO has a clever idea to try make ADS WORK on a small audience though. With their staking idea it will be interesting to see how that plays out over time.
Who knows maybe @khaleelkazi is Hive's very own Saylor in the making...
