To warm the body ||Para calentar el cuerpo [Eng /Esp]

Winter has a very particular way of slipping into our bones, especially on those mornings when the sun barely dares to rise. But luckily, there are rituals that envelop us like a warm embrace.

Today was one of those days. As soon as I walked through the restaurant door, the aroma of homemade food and the murmur of the tables made me forget the cold outside. But the real beginning was when I held that piping-hot mate, freshly brewed, like a small refuge in my hands. Bitter, as it should be, with that mix of herbs and memories that only those who share it understand.

Later, in another corner of the city, it was coffee that took over. A frothy cortado, served in a white cup on a wooden counter. The coffee machine shone like a beacon, and each sip seemed to awaken not only the body, but also the desire.

Between sips of mate and coffee, winter became more bearable. Sometimes all it takes to warm the soul is a nice hot drink and a moment to stop.

El invierno tiene una forma muy particular de colarse en los huesos, especialmente en esas mañanas donde el sol apenas se anima a salir. Pero por suerte, hay rituales que nos envuelven como un abrazo cálido.

Hoy fue uno de esos días. Apenas crucé la puerta del restaurante, el aroma a comida casera y el murmullo de las mesas me hicieron olvidar el frío de la calle. Pero el verdadero comienzo fue cuando sostuve ese mate bien caliente, recién cebado, como un pequeño refugio entre las manos. Amargo, como debe ser, con esa mezcla de yuyos y memorias que solo entiende quien lo comparte.

Más tarde, en otro rincón de la ciudad, fue el café el que tomó la posta. Un cortado espumoso, servido en taza blanca sobre una barra de madera. La máquina de café brillaba como un faro, y cada sorbo parecía despertar no solo el cuerpo, sino también las ganas.

Entre sorbos de mate y café, el invierno se volvió más llevadero. A veces, lo único que hace falta para calentar el alma es una buena bebida caliente y un momento para detenerse.
